I doubt he'd let his parents be homeless and whatnot ... so regardless of what he makes a year, it isn't his duty to give them millions a year just because.

My bad I didn't realize he should sign over his entire fortune to his mother. If she spends millions of dollars on whatever and loses said millions(which is ridiculous in of itself). Of course she should be able to get millions more from him. And if she loses those millions, so what? He should put her name on his accounts that would make even more sense.

50 million a year

The point is that he gave her millions, I fail to see how giving someone millions makes them selfish. The selfishness is coming from the parent in losing all that money irresponsibly and then coming back just because he can spare more. The average person may be lucky to see 500,000 dollars in their life time so sorry if I don't sympathize with a mother who loses millions on whatever and then decides to sell their son's mementos to get more money.

That tells me there is something more wrong with the mother than the son, and let's not try to act like Kobe was going to let them live in some squalor.
