They are replacing him with another black QB
:camby:

I'm not talking about Caleb, I'm talking about the young cac QBs who get more rope :stopitslime:

We should be comparing Justin to other situations around the league

Chicargo wasn't winning the division nor making the playoffs with their roster last season...the OC set him up to fail early in the season

And ppl are really faulting Justin for being put in a QB graveyard yet trying to make the most of it

Love Smith sticking it to the Texans by winning that game at the end of 2022 really changed the league altogether
  1. Chicargo gets the first pick
  2. Chicargo trades the first pick for DJ Moore & two first rounders
  3. One of the first rounders ends up #1 overall the next year
  4. The #1 overall pick forces Chicargo to trade Fields
  5. Houston lucks into drafting CJ Stroud and him being in a stable situation

Justin Fields will be the Steelers starter before the 2024 season is over.

Not that he is really great. Just that Russell Wilson isn't very good anymore.

The Steelers offense is cheeks

he needs to be in Minnesota with Jettas, Addison & Hock

I'm thinking the same as well.

Just based on his age with the potential for injury, the competitive division where every single loss will be magnified and even if he's playing good every time he makes a mistake he's going to hear it from the Fields crowd.

At that point, it'll be up to Fields to prove everyone wrong. You absolutely cannot scapegoat and blame the coach considering Tomlin's history.

It's still a defensive head coach and a dysfunctional ownership. I'm not absolving Caleb completely, just noting the situation he's being put in isn't favorable. This is bigger than just the skill players he'll have to work with.
I’m curious what makes the ownership dysfunctional in your opinion. Is there anything outside of Flus that makes you feel that Caleb is being out in an unfavorable position? I don’t think this is comparable whatsoever to the challenging position Justin walked into

The thing is that Fields had 2 other seasons of starting for Chicago AFTER they course corrected and started building a quality roster:pachaha:.
How 2 other seasons?

His second year in the league the new GM stripped the whole roster to begin rebuilding.

Last year he finally got him a #1 in DJ Moore and added pieces to the defense.

Except when it comes to the QB position as they haven't had any consistency since Big Ben.
Everybody been ass since Ben and you can even include him in his last two seasons. How many coaches would have had winning seasons with Pickett, Trubisky and Rudolph as their starting QB over two seasons

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
It's funny how media controls narratives

At first they said Pickett was traded because of his response to the Russ trade and that they didn't want Russ to feel like he was competing for the starting job so he could be confident. Now this.

Now both QBs are going to be watched like hawks from day 1 in training camp and breathe on each other's necks, with still very little talent to work with offensively.
Probably late now... But Tomlin has spoken out and said Fields has no shot at the number 1

They want Russ to know, he won't be looking over his shoulder... Until next off season when only one will be staying

Boogie Down BX
HE’S NOT STARTING THOUGH
How?
Explain?
Russ had the absolute worst year of his career in 2022, he was so bad people were saying he was completely washed and thought he was on his way out the league and that season was comparable to Fields' entire trash ass career
Easily one of the most overrated players I've ever seen
He sucks

Not a single fukking soul knew who Nico Collins was until CJ Stroud was throwing him the ball making him look like a Pro Bowler. You don't need an All Pro team for a QB to look at least decent.
People were out there picking him to win the fukking MVP before the start of last season, now it's some he had no help shyt :dead:

What has Fields done?

Do you watch games?

Are you high?

:what:

because currently - Fields is a better player
if you compare the Bears vs Broncos from last season

DEN - OLine
DEN - RB
DEN - WR
DEN - coaching
yet the Broncos won 8 games, and the Bears won 7
add the fact that the Broncos won 3 games, they had no business winning and the Bears lost 3 games. They had no business losing.

So you think Fields is better than Russ?
