This is one of those albums people will have extreme/polarizing views on. I love it and still play it front to back from time to time, but I can see how it turned off others.

For better or worse, he took risks, and often radically changed his sound between albums.

In light of his pending divorce, maybe he’ll lock in and finally produce something more in line with his earlier work. That’s all anyone can hope for at this point.
