This album was the beginning of Kanye's decline. The only song here I remember liking is "Black Skinhead" but it's been a while since I last heard it so I'm going to see if my opinion changes.

One thing I'll say is that it's crazy how much music dropped in 2013. Damn near every major artist had a project or song come out that year, and artists that are established now got their start in 2013.

The great thing about this album was the vocals, Kanye really expressed his anger well. It’s really him at his darkest n imo is a further continuation of the more negative themes on MBDTF. Bound 2 ends the album perfectly wit him coming out of that rage wit an ode to his wife bout how he was destined to be wit her. He’s very unhinged n raw n that jus gives me so much energy while playin this album. It’s my favorite Kanye album

On Sight is trash and I Am A God is too goofy but the rest of the album I enjoy. I personally fukk with some industrial so i don’t expect everyone to get it.

Ya'll don't get the raw and minimalist art of it. MBDTF was the "beautiful" classical art. That's his Michelangelo shyt. Yeezus is his Picasso shyt. Abstract, raw. He was just delivering the essence. Zero fluff. I took a while to get it but once I did, it was like WOW. Give it another shot and leave your expectations at the door. Just explore what Kanye was doing and feel it.

New slaves, bound 2, I’m in it, blood, the cudi joint. Yeezus had some tunes on it y’all better stop sleeping
These nikkas are old heads. Have you gone to the tunnel and battle room or whatever that subforum is called? These nikkas rap on boom bap still. Don’t have to be trap but boom bap. Don’t even mix up the formula, just stuck in the past. Love the coli but most folks here are old. I’m only here to talk bout life. When it comes to music. Anything a little different or left field is shytted on.

This isn't about being old and not liking something because its different. As a fan of Kast and Missy, both artists have done some pretty left field sounding music, but it was still dope. On a more modern note, Kendrick's To Pimp A Butterfly was different, but still dope. Its music. Being different should be the icing on the cake, not the whole cake. It still has to be pleasing to the ear. There have been many instances where I've heard a song and been like :what:, but still found myself vibing to it because while it was different, it still had some sort of groove to it.

When I listened to Yeezus, it felt hollow like he was trying to do something different, but it wasn't connecting, at least with me. There are few dope songs on it, but it has some awful sounding music on it as well. Worst defense I ever saw for this album was on here when a poster described it is "anti Music". That I can agree with for a different reason. It sounded more like noise than music. Forced innovation.

Always liked Yeezus, and Pablo, but I rarely listen to Kanye post 2018 or so, and I rarely miss it.

Don't see how one dislikes yeezus, and likes MBDTF and Pablo. All three are very, very similar.

Chill, I'm old and I love the album. I actually thought it was the young ones that aren't feeling the albums because it wasn't mumble and didn't have trap beats.

I love boom bap still to this day. Love the first few tracks off Life Is Good. Brehs on here really are stuck in the past. That’s dope breh that you are musically open minded like that. I’d love more hip hop industrial shyt from black artists if I could have it my way.

Nah, I'm not like a purist in any way. I recognize that there are old heads that are stuck in the past. I know some old heads talk stuck on hip hop before OUR time. I'm a mid/late 90's head. If you ask me when the best time for music, my answer is always RIGHT NOW.

All that old music still exists, you can still enjoy it. I guarantee there's old music you still haven't fully discovered and explored yet. I was just on a Sam Cooke binge after watching that movie "One Night in Miami" movie. There's so much incredible music out there and it's so easy to find now. We couldn't do that back then. And the music today is more diverse.

Just find what you enjoy and just let others enjoy what they enjoy? Why you gotta force other people to love or hate the same shyt you do? Not talking about anyone in particular.
