Dead broke and only had like $7 dollars in my account, there wqs this one ATM that let you withdraw $5 but I couldn't remember where it was, so I had to bail on a movie with friends

I remember when I used to go to this fast food spot (fukk free promo )some years back

And whenever I went I would use the kiosks. Now I used to lie to people and say "yo this is way faster than waiting in line and dealing with dumb employees "

Truth was, sometimes I didn't know how much was on my card and I didn't want my shyt to be denied infront of everyone especially the dime that used to work at the fast food spot we would go to bad light skin jawn who I just couldn't dare to be embarrassed infront of

Worst part is, I always get the same thing that comes out to 4.36

Scared to be denied on 4.36, cause I'd be already over drafted like 50 dollars or something

Even worse when you young and nikkas assume because you have a card you automatically got money to spend so nikkas ask you to cover them

Used to check my bank statement like

24 years old working at my first 45K job but my paycheck didn't come for a minute.....had to move up to Orange County to take the job and my brother was just a mad a$$hole for me leaving but I had to be on my own.

I was living in my truck for 3 months to get enough money together to cover a deposit for an apartment in Tustin. Ate nothing but Tuna fish packets, showered at the gym in the morning and evening....slept in my truck at night in the parking lot behind the building...

It was a motherfukker but I held out.

I miss those times actually.

the period where i was done with grad school..i had to move out of my first apartment because i couldnt afford to keep it on my own at the time and my roommate was moving out..i couldn't even downgrade to a 1 bedroom apt..couldnt afford that either ...ended up moving into a house shared with other professionals...had a moment of reflection that everything i owned in this world was in 1 bedroom..1 bedroom ..that didnt sit right with me..had to change that situation
