NOTHING cooks my grits more than someone, especially a black person, telling me what kind of fukking black person to be and if I don't fit your little definition then somehow I'm less black or I hate myself? Suck a sack lopsided dikks for real.

lol im not tellin you wat you should be

but yea you hate yourself if you can make threads all day about dissing black people

but when i make something the first responses are

nikka you poor, broke or ghetto
or hood equals violence

but then turn around an praise the fact they livee somewhere where they not wanted. praise they education and they career

its funny to me cuz my fam all successful
some got degrees some got good jobs some in school some overseas

and we still keep a balance and stay humble for the most part

not you personally im just sayin alot of nikkas on here do it

My statement was not a diss to any of my good & positive brothers/sisters living in the hood as many of us were born, raised or still reside in these communities. But in many cases we have jealous people within our race who make these generalized statements about other African Americans without even really knowing them or their real reasons or factors for moving outside the inner cities (better conditions for children or family, new job in other areas, etc). However in some cases, being in a suburb or wealthy neighborhood can also have pitfalls as well (overt and indirect racism, higher cost of living and taxes, etc).

alot of this convoersation is about hat you tlki about

i want people to seperate black areas and crime or ghetto shyt

Detroit and Atlanta is a perfect example of balance between succesful black people and also not havin to look down on your people to feel good about themselves

this thread turn into nikkas callin me ghetto, poor and ignorant

If he's in engineering, advanced science, architecture, or real estate, it's realistic for him to be making that at such a young age. Some of my Coli brehs is actually getting it :obama:

at 22 tho? anyway he stated he made 15/hr before. i think he worded the 100k part wrong.

im going to give the OP a pass. at 22 i though life was one big game.

It depends on the person really

I lived in the burbs for a year about 4 years ago and that shyt just wasnt for me

1.every store was too fukking far away
I got used to having 20+ stores within a block or 2, shyt was just hella convenient and I missed that in the burbs

2.nobody was ever outside :wtf:
Im used to it being hella nikkas and lil kids outside all the time.it was boring as hell in the burbs

3.people calling the police for every little petty reason.
This is what really pissed me off the most.I probably had the police called on me 20-30 times in one fukking year for dumb shyt like my music being too loud(on a saturday at 3 pm :stopitslime:), weed smell, too much traffic coming in and out my house(:what:),my 6 year old niece fighting another kid, etc. I even had a neighbor call the city on me cause my grass was too high(and I got fined for that bullshyt too :snoop:)

4.most of the people in the burbs are lame, lonely, and bored so they spend they time doing petty and unnecessary shyt like some of the stuff I named in #3 .i just couldnt see myself living around these type of people forever

Overall the shyt just felt different. The hood is like one big family(atleast where im from it is) and the burbs its a bunch of phoney people who really don't like or want to be around each other

This just my opinion tho, some of you might like those quiet neighborhoods thats dead all the time with a bunch of nosey neighbors but that shyt just wasnt for me :yeshrug:

I'm not saying these are all surefire ways to make decent money, but it's plausible. Just because most are not getting it, doesn't mean you or someone else can't be doing well, it all depends on your plan and how you're executing it.

lol. i need to visit the hoods yall in. no disrespect but it sounds like the ppl who want to stay in the hood are the ones who want to stay out on the corner all. i mean after a certain age its time to hang up seeing if your friends are still outside and wanting to go play.

I think this thread turned somewhat ugly because the original post seemed to come off as more of a diss or condemnation, you really didn't explain your thought process behind the question/comment thoroughly as you have now.

I thought you were generally dissing ALL black people that lived in the burbs vs just those that brag about living in the burbs and/or those who look down on people in the "hood". There is a difference. As a black person that lives in what some may consider the suburbs, I was a little offended. Especially when you starting talking about me hating myself. It was a misunderstanding on my part, so I have no static with you at all and I do agree that any black person looking down on the next black person is a wack individual.

I spent the first 17 years of my life living in Detroit so I do know what it's like to live that hood life. First of all, you can't have anything good because when people see that you have something nice, they will try to rob you or break in your house. I can't remember how many times our house got broken into. The time it hurt the most was when they broke in and stole $2000 my mom had saved up :why: Also, the crime rate is higher. It was normal to hear shots especially at night and it was common for someone to get popped just by walking down the street. I remember there were a few abandoned houses on our block and I can remember at least 4 girls that were raped in those houses. There was one case that especially pissed me off. A 12 year old girl on my street was walking to school and got pulled in an abandoned house just 4 houses down from me. They raped her and put old cigarette butts in her p*ssy before killing her. Of course there were no witnesses or no suspects. :snoop:

I'm a little older now with kids and a family. Since I can afford it, I live in a much better neighborhood. I still respect where I came from but there is no way I can put my kids through that. At least in better neighborhoods, the police actually arrive within 10 minutes and people actually have a neighborhood watch. Sometimes the cops would take a hour to show up if somebody got murdered back in my old hood. Most blacks in my old hood simply didn't give a fukk. nikkas would be waiting around the corner for you to go to work and then try to run up in your crib. I can now walk around my subdivision at night without fear of being hit by a stray bullet in a drive by. I can also buy a new car and not have to pay $300+ per month in car insurance. I'm not saying that everything is all gravy in the burbs, but it's just a much better environment to raise a family in. Also, my subdivision is about 60% black so I don't think I'm somewhere where I'm not wanted.
