Ben Simmons is finally a PF and no longer a PG

How will this work out for Philly?

  • It will make them better

  • It will make them worse

  • No difference

This is obviously a move on Brett Brown. He knows if the Sixers under achieve its in his ass this time. I like the move. Apparently Shake Milton balled on a good Clippers team, hopefully all the momentum he had carry’s over in pt2 of the season. This basically turns Ben into Blake Griffin with better handles. Ben is big and strong enough to bang with most 4’s but I don’t know if his body will hold up. The Sixers are always a threat in the east especially once they get their shot together.

Hes a Point PF...He should be out pushing the ball on breaks after long rebounds, hitting the board, attacking the rim getting to the line and passing to the open man....Surround him with shooters....Also Joel should be hanging out less on the perimeter. Have Al come in and play center with Tobias and have Joel featured against second units

Is Simmons still bringing the ball up or is officially a power forward now? Cause if so that takes away his advantage being bigger than the guards who have to guard him as well as him guarding them on the other end. It can work for the Sixers but Ben still needs to be competent from at least 18 feet and in for them to thrive. Tobias definitely needs to come back smoking from 3 range though cause honestly he's more effective at power forward too.

He's a natural 1 doe:dwillhuh:

Dude is a killer passer, he understands angles and spacing, and can even guard other point guards at 6'10":dwillhuh:

If he could shoot the 3 at 28-30ish % he'd literally be a hall of famer:dwillhuh:

He's a 6'10" Tony Parker (admittedly with a worse jumper) who is also an All-NBA defender

He just happens to have another transcendent talent on his team. I think on his own team he's an MVP candidate:manny:
He’s a great passer, not a great point guard. He has zero feel of how and when to get guys involved. He likes to get assists, not run an offense. It’s a big difference.

It's been a whooooole lot of point guards that won a whooooole lot of games and couldn't shoot worth a damn.

He's a 6'10" Rajon Rondo/Tony Parker hybrid who's a phenomenal defender

If you as a coach/GM/Front office can't turn that player into a PnR nightmare by surrounding him with shooters and dive cutters then it's not his fault.

Tell Embiid to shut the fukk up, set the screen, and look for the dump off pass, while we run the other team to death because they can't score on us...boom, Championship.

But instead they run a slow motion ass 1996 ass offense so Embiid can post up 30 times (with 10 of them ending in either a turnover or him jacking up a 3 anyway)

Try that on 2K for 82 games on the highest setting (HOF I believe) and tell us how that worked breh:lolbron:

Just adds versatility to the lineups...
I don't expect Shake to get starter minutes just yet...
He may start as the PG, but I still think Ben will get most of the PG minutes...

I would love for Shake to develop into a full time PG, but he not there yet

I find it hard to believe a non shooter like Ben will play a majority of possessions of ball. Brand needs to grow a pair and make a decision offseason regarding either Simmons or Embiid
