This isn’t good. Giannis was the 15th overall pick, a complete project and physically a whole different type of athlete than when he entered the NBA. He made a meteoric leap from where he was when he came into the league. Ben was the number 1 overall pick and while he’s improved as a defender, is still comparable to his rookie self. If rookie Ben made the same leaps as rookie Giannis from there different starting points, Ben would currently be one of the top 10 players of all time

He’s leaps and bounds better as a defender but other than that he’s the same player :yeshrug:.
I like Simmons too but y’all be lying acting like this dude has made the expected progress so far into his career. If you have the physical tools, defense is the one thing you know a player will get better at with time and an increased comfort level in the league. I commend him for taking defense serious and becoming a monster on that side of the ball but offensively his grown since his rookie season has been minimal. This is more than a stat thing. There are clear gaps in his offensive game that have not improved :yeshrug:. Doesn’t mean he’s not a good player. If you didn’t expect more out of him at this point in his career after his first season in the NBA idk what to tell you

He takes most of his jump shots from 3-10 feet and only makes 45% of them. :mjlol: 41% overall on jump shots.

Easy to go hard on defense when 0 energy is wasted on the other end:mjlol:

We only keep that energy for offensive players who don't play D:ohhh:
Been simmons is equivalent to Lou Williams making the all star game:mjlol: perennially :hhh:
I’ve been saying this same shyt about Gobert for years. Guys like that should get the same type of vitriol Harden gets.

Lebron put up better number his 1st years in Cleveland and yet no one questioned that he was better in Miami. Y’all so stuck on the numbers, you can watch Ben and see he’s got a better feel for the game than he did his rookie year

A) That Lebron Comparison was horrible. Of course his numbers would go down a smidge playing with Bosh and Wade
B) He has a better feel, sure, but so does Giannis. His "better feel" isn't on the same level as Giannis either. A lot (majority) of players have "better feels" as they mature lol. Idk what you're saying with this.
C) The post I replied to was numbered based to prove a point, so why couldn't I reply back with numbers?

What I’m saying is he’s better goofy. You have a better feel for the game that means you’re better it’s only rocket science on the Coli

That’s literally all y’all got and y’all holding on for dear life lol

how are we holding on for dear life when he's still scared to shoot? That's all we got but that's all that matters when he completely ruins the spacing for your team.

Pretend it's normal to refuse to shoot brehs :mjlol: We're not taking being a bad shooter......he just refuses to shoot. :wow:

You can't quantify his "better feel", which is where the stats came in. I get where you're coming from, but in response to the tweet I feel like his improvement should be beyond his maturation; it should show up in the stat sheet as well.
