Almost passed out the other day on my top OHP single, no Sniff-sniff. Ate no lunch and got my ear talked off by a dude from work after I showed up.

I'm low-key looking at the clock like :sadcam: .

Luckily the #POWDA hit the :whoa: and let me stay conscious.

Only a nickel away from a PR. :ehh:
I do ohp/shoulder press compound lifts
5*135 of each and that's one set
:patrice: you got me thinking about seeing how high I can go on ohp alone though

Should of dumped the barbell off to the side, idiot

He had on clips like an even bigger idiot. I haven't used clips on bench press since high school, why do people still do that.

she walked down those stairs with not a lot of urgency lmao

and ya he should definitely have safety bars or no clips, my stomach went in my throat the second i hit play :merchant:

Don't use clips unless you're absolutely sure you can handle the weight.

As a general rule, if u bench alone u dont use no grips. So if u in trouble you can turn the bar sideways and let the plates fall off

This dude is to big to be making rookie mistakes

i work out solo dolo so of course i clip up my weights.
i am mindful of the weight i lift to avoid such fukkery.

Clips are useless on most lifts so why use them?

If benching alone at least don’t put clips so you can dump the weights

i have cats.
if i have an injury whilst lifting and drop a weight on one of them it would suck.
even if there were no cats, i don't want weights dropping if i get fukked up.
i view them as seatbelts for weights. why not use them?

For situations exactly like this. :skip:

To each his own WoD though. :hubie:

The clips are the first thing to go in the trash when unpacking the weight set.

Unless you have enough weight on each side that the bar is bending when you squat you don't need no damn clips. And if you are lifting enough weight that the 45lb bar starts to bend on each side spotters are mandatory.

I say that as someone who has a gold's gym Olympic set, so I have the bench/squat bar, the curl bar and 2 dumbbells all with their own clips.....you don't need all them damn clips

I went like this (it was 5's week):
Warm-up sets

Work Sets:
5 x 115
5 x 130
5+ x 150 [7]

Singles:
1 x 165
1 x 180
1 x 200

then Pyramid:
5 x 130
5 x 115

Before I moved on to my 2nd lift for the day. :lupe:

Facts. :myman:

Only need em when I start bending space (pushing 500 on squat) or when pulling and not using Oly bumper plates. :manny:
(Them shyts like to slide off the bar mid-pull.)

Now if you got filthy #CatSet degenerates running all up on during sets, okay then whatever.

These gyms I go to you'll see cats with spotters, safeties, and clips on for working sets less than 150 lbs. :mjlol:

I never got bumper plates for the crib. Always thought I wanted them cause I always lived on the first or second floor. I just learned to control the weight going down.

I control the weight too but bumpers are nice for setting up. Much easier to roll the bar to you.

Foster gym here has bumpers for days. :ooh:

I usually do two bumpers and 3+ hex plates to save space on the collar.

:wow: :dead:

The way she tried to lift the barbell as if he was lifting 5 lb was hilarious.

Im sorry but the fact she went from holding back a chuckle. To having a look of pure fear on her face. Once she realized she couldnt do nothing with that ammount of weight got me dying:laff:

:mjlol: >>>>>:sadcam:>>>>>:damn:

Id rather die than call my ol lady down for help lol.
