It really is. The PC version with reshade eliminates the washed out overly contrasted look and man

Days gone looks nice but the world doesn’t really have a lot of character, this would be a good move to seperate it from the 100s of other unreal games

also I understand it’s part of the art directors job to control that but the engine has a lot to do with it
