Agreed. IDGAF about his feelings or going into the season without a contract. Oh well. If he makes the next step, good. But it wasn't a mental break down in that one playoff game. In ALL 3 fukkING PLAYOFF GAMES he shyt the bed completely. COMPLETELY. Let him fukking earn an extension. Fans of this team and the people in charge are so fukking scared of being as shytty as we were in the 90s again that they think the best move is to lock in mediocrity. Man, I'm of the mind to think you do NOT overpay for a mediocre QB. Jason Campbell really couldn't even do worse than Andy with this defense and offensive weapons.

Regular season doesn't mean shyt to me, man. Earn it in the playoffs, and I'll be happy to overpay for ya, you shytty ginger.

I think this offseason I realized just how much I hate both Marvin and Andy Dalton. Just a bunch of motherfukkers content with being AVERAGE. Bein a fan of this shyt hurts sometimes because u know Mikey is gonna do jussssst enough to make not everyone cancel their season tickets. fukk being anything more than just competitive tho

I feel you bro. I root for the Bengals and hope they do well, but this being happy to be average shyt is getting old

This is fukking blasphemous. If you can't see the difference between Romo and Dalton then we don't need to acknowledge your opinion anymore.

I should have clarified that comment. I was comparing them in clutch situations. Although sometimes its not Romo's fault.

Can't wait to see how much money they give him.
The way the QB market is, I think it'll be around $14-15 mil/per. Stafford's extension was a little over that, and that's about the same deal the Ravens were offering Flacco before his SB season

:deadmanny: Why can't we just let him play the season out and see how he does...

Also the Bengals keep Marvin Lewis because our team was so bad for so long that any success we have we don't want to shake it up to much. However hes good in the community and seems like a good guy...this may be one of those he coaches until he's tired types of deal.

Andy Dalton is the future, and the Bengals are going to pay him like it.

Momentum is building for the Cincinnati Bengals and Andy Dalton to reach an agreement that will pay him like a franchise quarterback.

The two sides have been discussing a new deal for much of the offseason, and talks began heating up over the summer following the NFL Draft, where Cincinnati didn't draft a quarterback until the fifth round in Alabama's AJ McCarron. Contrary to the belief of a few fans, McCarron isn't the future.

Andy Dalton is, and the Bengals are going to pay him like it. Ian Rapoport reported live on the NFL Network Saturday that the two sides were getting closer to a deal, and it will be a big one.

"Just talking to Bengals sources, Dalton should get a deal similar to Colin Kaepernick, and when you look at where it will be similar, it's the guaranteed money. From what I understand, the Bengals are actually set and prepared to pay Andy Dalton more guaranteed money than Colin Kaepernick, making one think that this is a deal that could happen fairly quickly, and Andy Dalton will be installed as their franchise quarterback for years to come. "

The Bengals, specifically Mike Brown, are publicly putting pressure on Dalton to accept the deal they're offering him. If this latest report for Rapoport is true, he should be sprinting to put ink to paper.

The Bengals appear to be afraid of what Dalton could do this year that could raise his value.

Again, if this latest report is true, expect a deal to be agreed upon in the coming weeks, if not days. Dalton and the Bengals want to put this behind them and focus on the upcoming season.

I honestly don't care as long as it doesn't prevent us from signing AJ and Vontaze.

All qbs get paid. He can be cut.

True. And if they truly do think he's making that next step like they say in the article, it's smart to lock him up now. I mean, this is a franchise that is notoriously frugal with their money.

I thinking that they see him working in Hue's new fast paced system and think they've really got something here.

That's what I'm hoping.
