I don’t think he charted within the top 50 and if he didn’t then irregardless of how anyone feels about the album, Def Jam ROYALLY dropped the ball. There’s absolutely ZERO reason why a Major Label Benny The Butcher album debuts outside the top 20. ZERO.

Def Jam is a piece of shyt as a label.
I don't even see it in the Billboard Top 200 bro

Rollout was a complete mess. The album is good, nothing crazy but definitely should be on the charts to some degree.

Same thing happened with Conway GDMM album. Long rollouts don't work for this type of music. Announce it two weeks before. Drop a video. Do some promo. Week 2, accelerate the promo, tweet the tracklist a few days before Friday. Another video and release it wtf

If he sold less than TT4 :mjlol:

He wasn't trying hear it when people questioned why he wanted to sign a deal. He really thought Def Jam was going to make him a star in 2024 at age 39. Music isn't selling like that and rap is seeing a big drop off so how was he supposed to win with a style that's not mainstream?

Could have just had a sit down with Alchemist and learned you're better off staying indie. You got a platinum song without them and a solid fanbase. Now he's gotta recoup and probably lost some fans with this mid album.

This is on Def Jam not Benny. No matter his age. No matter the year. The point of a Major is to SUPPOSED to be to get you to new heights. This shyt is taking “Dropping the ball” literally
