No. Hilary will have black voters at around 85% and if they turn out, she will win

Hell, she is already starting off with 247 electoral votes and only needs to win 23 more.

Plus, she'll have Obama campaigning for her during the summer/fall, she has a lot of his 2012 people working for her, and his Super PAC is donating a lot of money.

Bernie would need to amass a huge ground game to get those blacks and latinos out to vote and he'd need Obama's help too.

Why would black folks vote against a democrat?

This argument that they'll vote for Hillary but not Bernie is as retarded as the notion in 08 that Latinos wouldn't vote for Obama in the general cause they supported Hillary.

The only people who might not vote for Sanders or Hillary that are voting now are new voters and young voters. Black folks, latinos, single women, etc. are staunch democrats and will vote for whomever is the democratic nominee.

Hillary is more likely to lose support of people voting now in the primaries than Sanders.

Thats the other thing people are ignoring and the reason why I have never had much confidence in Bernie winning the primary.
Hillary has the Democratic Party behind her and that includes both Obamas and probably Joe Biden before too long...Bernie is an interloper and there is no way the DNC will allow a guy who spent the majority of his career in politics shytting on Dems to be their candidate. Hillary has all of the Super-Delegates already locked up and I think a lot of Bernie supporters have allowed the highs of Iowa and NH to fool them into thinking that Bernie has this thing sewn up.
Now I will freely admit I was wrong if Hillary doesn't crush him in South Carolina and then win Nevada but I doubt I will have to eat my words.

The superdelegates are irrelevant. Whoever wins more pledge delegates will be the nominee. There is no way the democratic party steals the nomination from Bernie if he's the choice of the people. If they do that, they can kiss winning in November goodbye because most of Bernie's supporters will sit out. They won't steal the nomination from the people. It's suicide. Which is why the superdelegate talk is irrelevant. They'll support whoever gets more pledge delegates.

And FYI Nevada comes before South Carolina for the democrats. And the latest poll has Bernie and Hillary tied 45-45.

If Sanders wins Nevada the nomination will be a toss-up.

Yeah I always get it mixed up because the Repubs do SC then NV and the Dems do NV then SC.

I've never heard one of us refer to our people as "blacks". That's purely how white folks talk about us.

We're "black" but not "blacks". Its dehumanizing to say those are some "blacks". I personally haven't heard one of our own speak that way. Hence why my cac radar went up.

From now on please refer to us with the appropriate terms: black folks, black people, and African Americans.

its only one poll and u shoud do research when looking at a poll.

Its done by a Republican organization with no real track record at all - and which isn't even going to be conducting any Republican polls, which you would think they would be doing if they were interested in actually trying to determine who is ahead.

Plus the the questions were basically "Hillary Clinton is going to jail - does that make you more or less likely to support her?" vs. "Bernie Sanders is going to give you free stuff - does that make you more or less likely to support him?"

FARRAKHAN: And so, today, we have to deal with the root so that perhaps a healing can take place. Now, this obelisk at the Washington Monument is Egyptian and this whole layout is reminiscent of our great historic past, Egypt. And, if you look at the original Seal of the United States, published by the Department of State in 1909. Gaylord Hunt wrote that late in the afternoon of July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress resolved that Dr. Benjamin Franklin, Mr. John Adams, and Mr. Thomas Jefferson be a committee to prepare a device for a Seal of the United States of America.
In the design proposed by the first committee, the face of the Seal was a coat of arms measured in six quarters. That number is significant. Six quarters, with emblems representing England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Germany and Holland, the countries from which the new nation had been peopled. The eye of providence in a radiant triangle and the motto, "E Pluribus Unum" were also proposed for the face of the Seal. Even the country was populated by so-called Indians and Black Slaves were brought to build the country, the official Seal of the country was never designed to reflect our presence, only that of the European immigrants. The Seal and the Constitution reflect the thinking of the founding fathers, that this was to be a nation by White people and for White people. Native Americans, Blacks, and all other non-White people were to be the burden bearers for the real citizens of this nation.
For the back of the Seal the committee suggested a picture of Pharoah sitting in an open chariot with a crown on his head and a sword in his hand, passing through the divided waters of the Red Sea, in pursuit of the Israelites. And, hovering over the sea was to be shown a pillar of fire in a cloud, expressive of the divine presence and command.
And raised from this pillar of fire were to be shown, beaming down on Moses standing on the shore, extending his hand over the sea, causing it to overwhelm Pharoah.

CNN - Minister Farrakhan challenges black men - Oct. 17, 1995
That’s what the black church means. Our beating heart. The place where our dignity as a people is inviolate. When there’s no better example of this tradition than Mother Emanuel -- (applause) -- a church built by blacks seeking liberty, burned to the ground because its founder sought to end slavery, only to rise up again, a Phoenix from these ashes. (Applause.)When there were laws banning all-black church gatherings, services happened here anyway, in defiance of unjust laws. When there was a righteous movement to dismantle Jim Crow, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. preached from its pulpit, and marches began from its steps. A sacred place, this church. Not just for blacks, not just for Christians, but for every American who cares about the steady expansion -- (applause) -- of human rights and human dignity in this country; a foundation stone for liberty and justice for all. That’s what the church meant. (Applause.)
Remarks by the President in Eulogy for the Honorable Reverend Clementa Pinckney
I've often thought about the people on the Edmund Pettus Bridge that day. Not only John and Hosea Williams leading the march, but the hundreds of everyday Americans who left their homes and their churches to join it. Blacks and whites, teenagers and children, teachers and bankers and shopkeepers - a beloved community of God's children ready to stand for freedom.

They're just pawns for hispters and Starbucks-sipping folks in lily white neighborhoods... The same people who voted for Nader because "Bush and Gore were the same" (how did that work out again?)
I already see a lot of that repulsive white liberal condescension towards blacks with the SC primary coming up, telling us how misguided we are for supporting Hillary over Sanders (they always know what's best for us, of course).
It's hilarious how Sanders fans expect us to vote for him simply because he supposedly supported MLK in the 60s (some reason!)
nikkas will vote Hillary because she's the only realistic chance for democrats to keep the White House. Sanders is a McGovern clone, that's why republicans are ignoring him and attacking Hillary instead. He's their dream opponent, regardless of who gets the GOP nomination.
A self-described "socialist" would carry OH, VA, FL, PA, NV, IA, NC?:laff:
In the end, white liberals don't have as much to lose in a Trump presidency as "others" do (Blacks, Latinos, Asians, Muslims, etc). They can afford to waste their vote on exotic candidates like Nader, McGovern and Sanders because the stakes are lower for them. White supremacy will prevail anyway... As a minority group it's always about the lesser of evils, that's why a democratic win is tantamount (with all her flaws, Hillary is still the best chance out there).

You should vote for Sanders if you're progressive because his policies and ideas benefit the progressive movement far more than Hillary's, who's hoping that sucking Obama's dikk and doing the nae nae on TV will be enough to earn your vote. :heh:

General election polls have Bernie beating the likely Repub nominee by a greater margin than Hillary.
