The west has classics on top of classics (the east has way more of course). It's the South thats the ugly red headed step child of rap. :scust:
No real legit GOAT contender albums. :yeshrug:

Stop talking out the side of ya mouth homie :stopitslime:. 96 Master P's Ice Cream Man was a contender for best of the year AND I still jam it today over all the albums in this thread EXCEPT Makaveli.

As for tha south with all time classics Scarface's The Diary and Lil Wayne's Tha Carter are certified classics. And if you want me to really style on you Paul Wall & Chamillionaire's Get Ya Mind Correct is also on some classic shyt.

hes right tho.

sure he goes way overboard, but yall made him that way by making people look crazy when they point out the obvious.

95% of the posts in here consist of east coast albums and albums that pandered to the east.

You're misunderstanding. Which is understandable since I switched from talking about classics to GOAT contender albums. The South has plenty of classic albums, but no real GOAT contender albums. A GOAT contender is the best of the best. The Chronic. Doggystyle.
You mean to tell me the albums you listed are considered on the same plane?

And I've never heard Ice Cream Man, but let me ask you this: where does it rank in comparison to 99 Ways to Die, True and Ghetto D? 99 was about 4 mics to me. True and Ghetto D were 3. The first West Coast Bad Boyz is a Bay classic. 4.5 mics to me.

90% of the best albums in rock music history are westcoast.

Get over it the east ran the rap game when it mattered

You talkin bout the 80's? Or the Early-to-mid 2000's Jay/X/Fif era?

Because those are really the only eras of rap where you can say "the east" was runnin shyt.

2pac...the most influential and celebrated rapper of all-time... favorite MC of all-time and favorite rap album of all-time came outta the south.

New York rappers didn't get on some "mafiosa" shyt until Face showed them how to do it on Mr.Scarface is Back.

Put that cracka troll on ignore brehs....a crackas opinion on black music isn't worthy of being entertained.

Tha Carter is a GOAT album and Ice Cream Man is better than True and Ghetto D. I didn't hear WCBB or 99 Ways to Die.
