Not for long. If Best Buy is dropping this you better believe Amazon will drop it too. I still have my membership for about 2 more years. It probably won't effect my purchasing of games much because I can still afford full price but I'll shift to Amazon until the wheels fall of that. Best Buy is going to lose a lot of my purchases because of this. I won't be in their store nearly as much anymore.

I actually stopped using gcu because prime gives 20% plus my 5 % with my cc.

Still sad to see it go, it’s always nice to have options.

I had the US Bank Cash+ which offered 5% off at electronics stores like Best Buy. No way in hell am I not switching to Amazon with the Prime Visa on pre-orders when this expires in 2020 if Amazon still even offers their 20% off at this point. Bad part about Amazon is they can kill the program any day and it's gone that same day.

You can't renew or create a new membership. An internal email instructs stores to pull all the cards and their POS seems to block them.

We are going to see more great games with story lines disappear

While free games like fortnite with a lot of buy in option and less features will reign

Can't blame the industry, I choice not to buy games at full price

fukkIN STUPID! I know that shyt brought them a lot of business. For the last year and a half I've only bought my games from best buy. They're gonna lose a lot of business bc of this. Maybe this has to do with their new partneship with Amazon? I know that's only for TVs but you never know. Maybe they're going to do more business with other product lines like videogames

I was thinking about getting this too... then I realized I don't really buy day 1 games much anymore.


Will not be surprised if amazon drops the 20% preorders.... they already nerfed it last year
