I don't hate Beterbiev whatsoever, I actually like him as a fighter

But Bivol is the first person I have ever seen to make Beterbiev confused in the ring, and makes his rhythm so thrown off
Usually with other fighters, Beterbiev is always in control, and has that "only a matter of time" energy that makes him so dominant in the ring. It was evident that Beterbiev could not handle the footwork and hand speed of Bivol

Give respect to Bivol as one of the greatest fighters of all time

That was fantastic boxing from bivol. He looked like the best on the planet.

:whoa: I wouldnt go that far. Him and Beterbiev both have their own glaring weaknesses its just that they balance out each other so well they are almost equal. Its rare you have two guys at the top of a division at the same time that are almost evenly matched.

Canelo went head to head above his weight class with the undisputed light heavyweight champ and folks wanna pretend he ducks fades

Let's be honest, it was a cherry pick gone wrong

Canelo wanted to get a belt at 175 after getting false confidence from beating and old Kovalev. He thought Bivol was the weaker fighter than Beterbiev who he avoided. That loss was so bad, Canelo hasn't fought a 50/50 fight since lol

Has to be in the convo of the best defensive fighter of his gen. Biev has brutalized everyone else. He has a granite chin too, he took some clean ass shots. fantastic boxer, if he had that god given ohko pop he'd be perfect

again, I have to big up Turki and hope he continues the trend, he is good for boxing because I was really getting disenchanted with all the bullshyt, politics, and most of all exorbitant PPV costs with not mid, but shytTY undercards. this is like old school Don King cards. incredible value. it took Turki to do it, he brings the promoters together instead of having these forced one-sided single promoter ripoffs.

If the trilogy doesn’t happen I see BIVOL vs Benavides in fall and them giving canelo the winner may 2026

175 is end of the line for Benevidez. at least as long as these two are at the top. he can hope Beterbiev gets old really fast and maybe outwork him but he is going to take some leather either way. and I like David.

Need to see that 8-4 scorecard, I felt Bivol gave up too many of the middle rounds
Some of those rds you could say Art stole with in the last15-20 seconds, after being a relatively controlled rd by Bivol, depends if you think some of those punches on the glove landed. Even 15-20 seconds of work shouldn’t trump ring generalship

Before the first fight Bivol’s opponent connection percentage was like 12% and the lowest in the sport. That’s landing one punch on someone after throwing nearly 10 at them and that one is basically grazing them.

That’s what it takes to beat Beterbiev and that’s the level of fight they’re having. This match-up is an all-timer.
