My order goes

Six (known as 3 in the US)
Tactics
Nine (which is a remake of 1)
Seven
Dissidia

All the stuff seven gets credit for was introduced in six.
Seven just happened to be on the PS instead of the SNES so it was the first time the graphics were something to be marveled at. But... there will always be sides drawn berween Jordan and Kobe.:yeshrug:

I've never finished one :sadcam:

Redownloaded VII. Gonna finish that once Vita gets PSone support. I hear good things about IX. What's ya'll opinion on it.
Nine is excellent. Its a reimagined version of the first Final Fantasy. Also, the card game that can be played in world is very addicting.
Its the last game I ever got for the regular PS. I remember it was 4 discs :banderas:
I opened the double case and I knew it wasn't fukking around before I ever put it into the console.
And then each disc had the face of one of the chars on it. White Mage, Thief, Black Mage, Knight... :lupe:
Thats the same feeling I got when I bought Wu-Tang Forever and I opened the case and could see both discs for the first time. :whew:

Very easy to recommended it.

I know VIII always has such a split opinion with the series fans but that opening cutscene always had a breh :whoo::ohlawd::banderas:

Yo...NO videogame will EVER top the FF8 Overture. shyt is beautiful :mjcry:

It's even more powerful after you beat the game and you saw the "high school" prom type shyt and the ending with video camera. In 1998 the storytelling was so :ohlawd:

One of the best FF games. I played FF7 and FF8 first. Then got into emulators and roms and played all the old FFs, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Evermore, Secret of Mana. ALL them old hits. Then FF9 came along and took all the old school Squaresoft stuff and made it amazing. :wow:

Also while 9 did have one of the best minigames (up there with Blitzball from X, and the Card Game from 8) it wasn't the shytty card game - it was Chocobo Hot & Cold. The joint where you'd get map pieces and have to go around the world digging them up. Also you'd do the forest minigame with Mog for pieces and items. Crack.

You can get those 3 years back, breh.

Time is irrelevant. Never stop gaming.

Lucca? :blessed:

I dont want to think about all the FF experiences I had because it would be too difficult. I'll just say this:

Tier 1 - FF7, FF6, FF4 (Cecil and Kain), FF9, FFX ,FF12
Tier 2 - FF8, FF5
Tier 3 - everything else

quick notes:

12 may not have had a great story but it had some of the best game mechanics I've seen in an RPG. They took the MMO concept and made it work well. First game with real time battles in the main series and it came off well. The characters weren't really unique in terms of gameplay but the license board was ill. Quickenings were cool. The Boss Fights and special fights were GREAT. This is also my go to RPG for "best way to use status effects in a game". Amazing.

13 - SOOOOOOOOOO much potential. Really, really, really, dropped the ball. The storyline was so interesting and the characters were 70% of the way to pulling me all in. Then they dropped the ball. So many great looking environments you couldn't explore. A great battle system that felt constrained by the Crystarium mechanic of leveling up. Gran Pulse was great but you don't get there till the end. So many back stories that didn't get touched on. Game over when the main character dies = herp derp stuff.

FF8 - I used to hate on it too. Then went back one day and replayed it. Seriously might be the best "movieish" FF in terms of plot. I loved the whole high school/class environment they had set up. Squall may be an emo hoe, but looking back he wasn't that bad. He's no Zidane or Tidus but he wasn't a wimp either. The Draw system is misunderstood - you technically shouldn't be using it THAT much. Item refining .>>>>>>> draw. Save your time and sanity. Great thing too was the GF system which took the Esper system from FF6 to another level.

FF9 - so much to say about why this game was great. But one thing - no boss battle in FF history is more fun and frustrating than fighting Ozma.

Wish I had the time to play 9 again....only gone through it once when it first dropped:mjcry:

Personally I got to give it to FFX it was my first and being able to control the summons was awesome. After is FFIV.
Anima's overdrive:blessed:

Most who ain't on the typical 4,7,8,10 will say 6 is the best. For what little I've seen and heard it does look great, got to play it one of these days.

The H
9 is my favorite FF and also my favorite game of all time. I've probably beat that game from beginning to end 10 times minimum. At this point the graphics are just TOO outdated, but man what I'd do for a remake.

I loved 7,8, and 10 as well. Could never get into 12. 13 I remember beating in less then a week, but it never left a real impression on me. Never played the rest
