2005-2009 is weird cause you look back it and think man there was so much wackness especially ringtone gimmicky singles but then when you start digging deep there was soooo much slept on pure hip hop lyrical stuff from NY and LA. Im thinking 2007 was wack sans the Chicago guys and Jay and then I remember Blu, Kweli, Prodigy etc.
This was the era when it was hard to find good Hip Hop and people were too busy gossiping to put people on

I was thinking out of the 4 years I have left (including this), 2007 was by far the weakest but when I was considering the poll options I was shocked at how much good material was out there

not too many classics or classics to be....but really strong stuff, especially by vets like HOV, Common and UGK
