If you aren't cooking it on a charcoal grill, you're doing your steak wrong.

Get it as hot as you can, cook your steak close to the coals. Cook time will depend on thickness of steak and desired doneness. Season with just salt and pepper(if you bought a good steak it'll have all the flavor it needs, no need for a bunch of seasonings/rub/etc) I like to sprinkle a mixture of vinegar/water/melted butter on while cooking, for flavor, to tame the fire, and to keep it moist. For a medium sized strip steak I cook 8 minutes each side, then let rest for 3 minutes under aluminum foil.

Best steak you'll ever have :ohlawd:

Last steak I cooked, with grilled asparagus and baked Mac n Cheese

He burned that shyt to a crisp. Notice how they didn't show what it looked like when it was cut?:scusthov:
Never understood why people like to throw in thyme when they're cooking steak:stopitslime:
I don't want to taste thyme or rosemary or any aeromatic when I'm eating steak:huhldup:

Salt, fresh cracked black peppers, and a good cut of steak:ahh:
If you want to marinade it, then that's good too, but not with thyme or rosemary involved:birdman:
I cook mine on the grill:lawd:
Bone-in ribeye:banderas:

People also like steaks well done because they like the way it taste:ld:
If you got a bland piece of meat, yeah flavor that shyt with anything you want. But an expensive cut of steak and you put more than salt and pepper on it?:mjcry:

It's like if you buy an expensive bottle of whiskey and people mix it with coke. shyt seems like a waste:manny:
