So you haven't even heard his material? Since you haven't even heard such a famous song by him. Therefore why is your opinion relevant? You've heard 1 artist you're talking about in Missy but not the other, so are speaking without substance and you clearly have a bias against The Bay artists. So what you say becomes pretty meaningless because there's no objectivity and a clear agenda.

40 is definitely well known but missy definitely made a bigger impact in mainstream Success. But many have bitten 40's slang

E-40 also had a very wide influence in many ways, even inspired Pac.
E-40 also ain't really the type of person to hate on, there's literally no need, he's an acquired taste so if some don't like his music all good but he was very influential in many ways and he puts some shyt together, he spits game, and nah it's not about someone teaching you neccesarily, even though for some of the youths it helps, but it's also when you KNOW that shyt deeply and when someone else is dropping it like that you relate to it and know they are legit and know what they are talking about, real recognise real, and 40 is legit, he's been through some ish and has legit clout and he represents heavy and hard, he represents the streets and The Bay and beyond, that might not be for everyone but should at least be respected. Also dude ain't "off beat" like people say, because it's a style and intentional, he's on beat for what he wants to be doing, he wants to be different, we don't want everyone spitting the same, let someone be different without chastising them for it. 1 of the issues is too many sound the same, E-40 been original and spitting since the 80's and shyt.
If someone prefers Missy I don't have a problem with that either, or a problem with them being compared really, it's all good but personally the substance 40 brings means I probably place more value to him in terms of an artist because I relate to that more than Missy's ish, even though she got some good songs and beats too.

Yep. I remember "Sprinkle Me" and "Player's Ball" getting heavy play down here. That's not even mentioning the stuff he did with No Limit and Cash Money. Then there's the run he had with Lil' Jon. I think a lot of people caught on to E-40 when he had that run with "Tell Em When To Go". Pretty big comeback for him because he had that song "U & Dat" with T-Pain and the feature on Lil' Jon's "Snap Your Fingers". Then this generation is probably more familiar with "R.I.P." and "Function" and more recently 40's appearance on Big Sean's "IDFWU". I think people are probably more familiar with those and missed out on '90's E-40.
