Iversons prime years coensided with the Lakers Shaq Kobe ERA and prime Duncan/Spurs ERA and the nikka took a bunch of bums to the finals and gave the Lakers there first lose of the post season in game 1. Curry needs to average over 30 for a couple more seasons and win another MVP or title just to be mentioned along side Iverson.

Does he need to average 30ppg while shooting 40% as well? Can curry take the 24-28 shots per game to get that inefficient 30ppg as well?

I saw him play, and I would take Curry without even thinking it over.

Most of the posters arguing for AI can't make a sound basketball reason why they'd pick him, it's all nostalgia.

I'd pick Curry....

However the some of these dudes shytting on A.I seem to be talking out of their ass as if dude was a total scrub :francis:

so having as many mvp awards, being maybe the greatest shooter ever compared to a mediocre one, already having more 50 win seasons, and having the championship that Iverson does not have is less impressive? is averaging 30 a game that impressive when you shoot some 39-41% from the field? Curry on the career shoots 45% from behind the damn 3 point line. By comparison, Ray fukking Allen shot 40% from deep on the career. This shyt is no contest. It didn't matter that the spurs and lakers were great then since they were out west and Philly only played them 4 games out of their 82 every year. That's a whopping 5% of their schedule, and given that they never even got past the first round after 2001, maybe Iverson wasn't good enough anyway. They couldn't even beat the teams out east most of the time.

His prime years also coincided with the East being weak as fukk, took the refs fukking over the Bucks for him to get to the Finals and he only made it past the 1st round once after 2000.

im sorry but anyone who choose iverson over curry to build their team around isnt very bright. iverson was undersized 2 guard, who did a poor job of getting others involved. why would you choose that over a natural PG who keeps others involved, and can also give you an efficient 50+ point game ? yes i agree steph needs to do it for longer, but what you are seeing steph is something we have not seen before. dude is a force of nature right now. a lot of players are straight shook to guard him because he makes them look foolish. its almost unfair how good his shot is. you cant tell me everytime he loads up to shoot you arent like, shyt :beli: because you know its cash.

iverson made it to the finals in a very weak east, and i still maintain he only did that because the bucks got CHEATED...and no i wont let it go

If prime iverson had currys team he'd average 40 in this NBA on more efficient shooting And they still would've swept the Cavs in the finals.:banderas:

Remember, almost everything people are saying about curry was being said about iverson like 10-15 years ago.

He wasn't a scrub but there's no logical reason to pick him over Curry.

I was never a big fan of his game, I respected what he could do but I also hated the way he played.

read my mind. one on one isolation ball is not how you win titles in the NBA.

you do realize that even Jordan never averaged that much and it has only been done one time in the entire history of the league right? the basket didn't get any bigger and AI still would be taking bad shots. He wasn't gonna magically become a good shooter from deep either at any point. his game is less effective in an era with no illegal defense, but then again I'm talking to a guy who thinks penny is better than LeBron
