It's not just that he's from the hood and that he was a hood ICON, he's also much, much smaller than almost every other player on the court, every night, and STILL DOMINATED.
His career was almost DESTROYED when he caught a charge in high school. Despite all odds, he was able to succeed at a level very few players ever have. You're goddamn right he's an underdog.

Curry's biggest question marks were was his size, not being a true point and was he athletic enough and could he get his shoot off in the league..
