How does he get to the paint as much as A.I did with less speed and athleticism?
by having shooters in every corner and two of the best passing bigs in the league

AI is a HoFer and one of my favorite players of all time but Curry is better than him on passing and shooting alone. Dude steps on the court and immediately gives his teammates an easier time because you gotta be aware of dude before he even crosses the halfcourt line, ball or not.

b-b-b-but fg %!!!
it ain't even just that

dudes get caught up in highlights too much.

iverson was one of the most culturally influential players the NBA has ever had. easily. curry is better than him at everything except ball handling, and even that is pretty damned close...

saying he's better doesn't take anything away from AIs career.

Yall lil nikkas i swear. nikka has 1 good season and already yall nikkas think this guy is the new Reggie Miller :heh:

Steph Curry plays great against weak NBA generation where everyone loves each other. Curry would be just a good player back when i was growing because he would be knocked on his ass nightly

These posters all scream of insecurity. Reggie averaged 18-3-3 on the career. He sure as hell wasn't going to cook a defense off the dribble the way curry does. If Reggie could do what he did, curry could do more. Reggie barely created his own shot. Not only does Iverson concede that Curry has a better handle, but he's a vastly superior shooter. He shoots better from deep than AI did from the field. He's also a more willing passer. His per minute numbers last year are better than peak AI too. He would have averaged 30 points and 10+ assists if he played as many minutes a game as Iverson. The he was nasty in 2012-13 and 2013-14 too now that his ankle injuries are in the past. He showed plenty of flashes of greatness from 2009 through 2012 too.

Who are these elite two way players on the Warriors roster? There are literally two above average offensive players on the Warriors roster. You can't be a stacked offense when Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes and Andre Iguodala - all players who consistently get wide and rely upon others to create offense for them - are in the conversation for the third best offensive contributor. It really kills me when people on here swear Dray is overpaid & overrated or that Iggy is the worst finals MVP of all time, and then turn back and say these guys contribute to stacked offense in an effort to detract from Curry. Thats bullshyt, this team would be among the worst offenses in the league without the one guy who can create for himself and others at a high level consistently. Don't tell me Klay Thompson is good enough to lead this offense anywhere without Steph, they'd fall apart.

Where the Warriors are actually stacked? Defensively. Thats where their role players largely specialize. Curry carries an immense influence for them on the other end of the floor (greater than Iverson has ever contributed in this league), especially in the postseason where he's by far their most consistent and reliable contributor.

Being able to thrive under immense defensive pressure is a requirement for being an offensive superstar in this league. Anyone who thinks Curry couldn't thrive under the same circumstances flat out doesn't consider him a superstar, which is retarded. I'm sitting here like :mindblown: when people tell me a dude that's the best shooter in NBA history with NBA street handles who can also finish inside & pass won't thrive regardless of supporting cast. What about that skillset leads you to believe he couldn't? If anything he'd put up even greater volume numbers that you guys would respect more. I'm not giving Iverson a handicap for being in that situation when he was at his best as a ball dominant creator with absolute control over an offense. The very player you guys idolize wouldn't even exist if he played a different way, and he sure as hell wouldn't be a good fit with the Warriors who emphasize ball movement and heavily rely upon the 4on3 situations Curry routinely creates in the P&R 24 feet away from the basket.

Unless you're seriously trying to say Klay Thompson and a bunch of role players are the solution for Iverson shooting 50% from the field, its completely false that he'd suddenly turn into something that he's never been in his career. That's not how things work, lets not use the supporting cast as an excuse or elevate the Warriors help in an effort to glorify Iverson while taking away from Curry's impact.
:wow: i already repped you once wish i could do it again

Look breh.. PLAYOFFS and championships are TEAM accomplishments. Iverson never had a championship squad to surround him. He was asked to do way to much for most of his career. It is what it is.

Iverson is a better SCORER than Curry and its not even close.
Curry is obviously a better three point shooter.
Iverson's took the crossover more mainstream than Tim Hardaway and he definitely has better handles than Curry.
At the end of the day Iverson proved HE COULD DO MORE WITH LESS. Wade can't say that and neither can Curry.

Lebron is the only player that I've seen take a non-playoff caliber team to the finals.

Curry a bigger offensive threat and could run an offense better than Iverson could and Dikembe Mutombo's Finals stats were actually better than Shaq's in 2006
