Magic is arguably a top 7 player ever.
You’ve got people here saying Durant is in that tier.

I don’t quite think we are there at this point.

The Lakers were just as stacked as the Warriors, this that nostalgia shyt I'm talking about. Magic was playing with a top 2 player of all time damn near his entire career :rudy:

Magic won MVP. at age 29 and 30 which were Kareems last year and the year after he retired :camby:

Kevin Durant is in the elite of elites in terms of what he brings for his position and Magic was a ridiculous match-up problem.

We've seen what KD can do, but make no mistake Magic today backing down the smaller guards would be insanely efficient and destroying teams with passes out of the post.

What would you prefer? No right answer really.

He's just a flat-out more dominant player. Are you telling me if Magic was in the league right now that he'd be the best player in the league and nobody else would be even close?

:usure:

:what:

Magic Johnson is a top 5 player of all time, a 6’9 point guard who could dominate a game without scoring. He lead the league in assists 4 times and lead the league in steals twice. People forget he had to retire young, he was only 32 when he retired and had just lead the Lakers to the finals the previous season. He still 5th all time in assist and probably would be the all time leader in assist if he didn’t retire early.

The thing I give that KD is better at is scoring and Magic was no slouch he average 19 points over his career

Plus career-wise not even close

That's gotta be the most generic answer I've heard this season. When will y'all dudes start to think for yourselves instead of regurgitating shyt that has little-to-no relevance?

All time Magic. KD hasn't even turned 30 yet though. Passing him on the list? It depends on what you are measuring.

KD is obviously a better overall player who does more on the court. Good chance he doesn't win 5 rings like Magic. Obviously nowhere near the passer. Depends on what you measure and compare.

This is a weird question though. Wouldn't Larry Bird be a better comparison/discussion since they played the same position and had a similar role?

Also, this board has a hard enough time accepting KD is clearly better than Kobe Bryant ever was. This thread will primarily be laugh emojis and downplaying KD's talent.
