Morgan State was just the first school to announce it.

LeBron James alone can't donate millions to black causes by himself. But he has friends who are all millionaires (fellow basketball players). They can pool their resources together and collectively they can do things that a single billionaire can. Ditto for Jay-Z, Puffy, etc. They just choose not to.

Another thing they can do is setup an investment fund (VC, hedge fund, etc.) where all of the clients are rappers/athletes. And collectively they can all grow their money together and be rich for the rest of their lives. So that when their NBA/NFL contract is up they don't have to move back to the projects.

Even if you don't agree with some of these ideas they have to do SOMETHING.

Hedge funds and VC's are billion dollar ventures. LeBron may be wealthy, but the average ADOS celebrity isn't. Boozie said that the pandemic is having alot of rappers shaky rn, while one NBA player said that like 40-50% of the league is living paycheck to paycheck.

Not only that, given that we come from poor families, we're asked to help them out. Any ADOS here that "makes money" or seems to make money, will be asked constantly about lending money, now imagine that x20 if you are Josh Jackson or Kendrick Nunn.
