The sort of thinking in this thread is why we've loss manufacturing.:snoop:
We need to be making it cheaper to do business in this country not more expensive.
Proper taxation and redistribution is the answer not higher barriers to entry.
Dishonest. Manufacturing jobs in developed nations were never going to compete with cheaper labour in China and elsewhere. It just wasn't going to happen. To pretend like a minimum wage lost those jobs is dishonest.

If the wage were actually tied to cost of living, the insane productivity gains seen by business and inflation it would be in the 25 dollar range by now.

It's pathetic this is even a debate and people forget any wage increase is going to be phased in. Cost of business going up too much? Blame your stupid taxation system, businesses. Paying for your employees' health care is also a de facto tax, but keep greasing the palms of the fukkers who say socialized medicine is evil. And keep voting in state and federal governments who tax small businesses and property instead of progressive income and corporations with insane profit margins. And keep pushing your employees onto public assistance, because NO ONE pays for that either. :stopitslime:

The countries labor hubs already have a $15min wage or better... the downsides to raising this bill will be much more pronounced than estimated.
:manny:But he's gotta do something to keep the progressives off his back
40% of the countries labor force make less that 15$. But keep pushing these lies

Twice as many companies paid no taxes. Defeats the poijt of repatriation

:hubie:Not falling into a debate over year 1 of a 10yr tax plan.

That’s not to say they will work/be good... but we should let them run their course and see what it’s gonna be.
Rushing to conclusions is how I mistakenly credited Trump for some of Obamas work.

Im just gonna wait and see.

I will point out that those tax evading corporations are using long standing loopholes and deductions.
:hubie:

Longstanding loopholes they promised to fix. Tax amd jobs act is scam
