Some people are just lazy with no ambition. Even if the opportunity is right there and extremely easy to obtain. Now the negotiation power is in the hand of the employee. Especially a employee that doesn't mind going into a office..

Just stupid. He's looking good with the Ukraine stuff and while I know it won't be the main story forever, the last thing you want to pivot to is "hey guys, go back to working in offices." Some businesses and corporations aren't going back to offices. The ones that are will likely be lower wage or salary jobs. You know, people who will struggle with paying gas right now.

I said it months ago and I'll say it again: maybe they want to lose. Because there's no other explanation for the ineptitude and general fear of using power. There is literally no reason for the president to say this out loud.

You don't need an office job to network. Just like you don't need an office job to socialize.

There's always big business expos filled with employers or hiring events going on where you can give out your resume and number. LinkedIn is also a great way to reach out.

Most people wfh don't have shaky resumes either. Most these people already have years of experience and connections.

as long as there are mortgages and car notes and families to be provided for nobody is walking out of anything. tough talk is about as far as about 95% of the people will go.

the same way people said that those taking the vaccine would be in a wonderful position to advance their careers at the expense of those who refused, this situation is no different. those who refuse to go back into the office will lose their jobs, setting up those who are willing to with the opportunity to step in and advance. Not gonna happen. even the companies on a hybrid schedule now are only temporary. soon it’s gonna be back to “normal” with the five day grind.

I switched jobs twice during the pandemic for more money being able to remotely interview for jobs. I was able to schedule multiple interviews in a day with ease. And secure a job paying 15% more because I got more offers.

Biden is fukking up people's money because now interviews will go back to in person. Which lowers the amount of jobs you can interview for at one time. Not to mention you will no longer qualify for jobs in a different city or state.


This is all about taking away options, perks and savings for workers. And trying to make them more beholden to employers.
