They trialed this in Iceland, New Zealand and it was an overwhelming success:
Four-day week 'an overwhelming success' in Iceland - BBC News

That means it will never happen in America. You’re talking about a country where you literally can’t afford to be sick, where there’s a lack of funding for transport because the motor/aviation industry have politicians in their back pockets.

Why have happy workers when you could simply make them miserable and squeeze every hour out of them for as little as possible? It’s the American Way. :francis:

slavery never went anywhere. It just evolved.

I don't believe working 5 days a week in the office as normal. I work in IT and for years companies have allowed work from home in special cases. The only reason for not doing it is trying to micro-manage employees. Employers and Boomers like Biden are just trying to put the genie back in the bottle. But it's gonna backfire once gas prices skyrocket this Summer.

I quit my last two jobs because they tried forcing return to the office last year. My current company is talking about a hybrid approach next month. But I haven't decided if I'll stick around permanently but most likely will bounce after the yearly bonus gets paid out.

Folks in really hard to fill jobs like mine cybersecurity. Aren't going to easily agree to go back into the office. As long as there is a shortage of workers in our field.
This doesn’t answer my question.
You said that it’s not safe to return to offices now due to COVID.
My question to you, and I apologize if it wasn’t clear the first time, is what circumstances are you looking for, with COVID, where a return to offices will be safe?

Btw I agree with you that things are not going to return to normal 100%. WFH is going to be much more commonplace than it was in February 2020.

Can't believe black people were stupid enough to vote for this racist POS. :gucci: Plus he's an outdated old b*stard that keep up with the times. I can't stand outdated methods.

Luckly nobody likes his dumb ass and very few companies will comply. Remote work is here to stay. Employees finally have the control and that is how it should be.

Trump and the GOP are far worse....stop it!!!

Maaan, I'd give so much to have Metro over BART.

But can't they get the trains back online? Right before the start of the pandemic, the Metro was actually doing much better with being on time etc. The purple line was under construction and would have been a game-changer. Seems like the pandemic was a big step back for Metro.

Metro was doing good until the feds found out that all off the new rail cars they just bought were defective and causing derailments. 60% of metros rail cars are out until they pass safety inspections.

Trump came incredibly close to winning. If African-American turnout was slightly depressed (because of a lack of enthusiasm for Sanders) or a small percentage of independents went for Trump because they couldn’t pull the trigger for a Socialist, in the few key states this election came down to, Trump wins.
So you saying that the faithful older black democratic voters wouldn't have voted? Because Bernie definitely had better young black support than Hillary and Biden. Just with the 2016, I can see Sanders losing Florida but not Michigan, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and Wisconsin, and probably gaining West Va

I don’t see him doing Biden numbers.

People were enthused for Biden? Only black folks that were on some "he's Obama's friend" and "you never know what ol' Joe will say next" were happy about Joe Biden. Bernie definitely had the enthusiasm on his side both times just by looking at their speech turnouts. If he didn't the "left" mainstream media wouldn't had vilified as much as they did. Bernie signified a change to the status quo, and the moderates went into overdrive to stop him.

I don't feel like it will ever be completely safe to go back into the office. And even if it was safe I still wouldn't want to go back in the office 5 days a week because it's pointless.

My Supervisor asked me what would happen if they got rid of even hybrid work. And I told him I would look for another job. I don't see cybersecurity jobs slowing down anytime soon especially with this War in Ukraine. So they can fukk around if they want and lose even more talent.

Nikkas will deny everyday.

That dude ya'll voted for...... He ain't it.

We'll see what people are talking next year when it's worse.

It was Biden or a Nazi in office, lesser of two evils and all that...

Voting Biden again because we don't have a choice...GOP wants to kill all of us, either hands on or by policies implemented to hurt us.

This is a GOP tactic, stonewall the Dems long enough to frustrate the Dem base to either convert them over to GOP or Independent, seems people are falling for it.

No lesser of the 2 evils. You're going to find out that man is full of pure evil.

All they said to you was a lie. Your life ain't going back to normal.

And you believe the GOP can do better for us? Trump and MAGA will lead us to the Promised Land? That's what you are saying?

Asking people to go back physical to work is stupid to me. A lot of the staff functions at my job are still working for home. Allowed me to upgrade my own office by taking there's :russ:.

On a serious not, less commuters means less traffic and less harm to the environment :troll:

I don't believe in politicians. I believe this world is going to continue to get worse and people are still going to fall for the lies if they aren't looking for the Truth. There's only One Saviour.
