Let me give you you

going back to the office has been deemed good for society as a whole. It stimulates business across many sectors, and in this country business and the bottom line speaks loudest, not your personal comfort or well being. So while wfh may have benefited you personally, going back to the office is seen as that “cooperation on a societal scale” you spoke so eloquently on before. You believed the government about sacrificing for the “greater good” before, well I know you didn’t think it was gonna stop there lol

COVUD is still around and people still getting sick. If an actual outbreak happens and people get hospitalized at work, the bad publicirltybalone woukd make people search elsewhere. "The Great Resignation" is literally just beginning. Expect millions to resign, especially people with no kids since the birthrate among educated people is already piss poor.

Looks like you stopped following the COVID news. There was a new variant that spread like wildfire but was very mild by comparison. Delta is out the paint now. The numbers shot up like a rocket, and have shot back down like a rocket. Circumstances have completely changed. With vaccination and Omicron, this is the best things have been since pre Delta. Now is the time to enjoy the benefits of “normal” hoping this is over, or until the next variant hits.
Sounds like bullshyt to me. How do they know another variant won't rear it's head after Omicron?

I bet they're wealthy donors told them workers have too much power now. And to try and reign things in by giving workers less flexibility. The amount of people quitting jobs has set records and it's got employers scared.

Remote work makes switching jobs much easier. Which in turn raises wages because of constant churn in the labor market.

CEO's have been crying about this for months. And that's why Biden made that announcement. It had nothing to do with Covid or what's best for a public health perspective. Companies are losing money so Biden has decided to step in and try to stop the bleeding.

Great Resignation: The number of people quitting jobs hit an all-time high in November as openings stayed near record

There is one piece of good financial news out this week: wages have gone up across the board in the past year. A new report from the ADP Research Institute, which tracks payroll data, shows that U.S. wages for existing job holders rose a record 5.9% in December compared to the year before, while those who switched jobs increased wages by an average of 8%, also a record high.

So should we just live in March/April 2020 conditions for the rest of our lives? Or should we adapt based on circumstances?

democrats don’t need Blacks anymore. Claude Anderson tried to tell us that but we ignored him. Once latinos overtook us as the largest minority voting demographic that would end our utility to the Democratic Party, and that happened last election. Keep hoping Black people are the ones deciding these elections and you’ll just be setting yourself up for more heartbreak.

nothing you see happening out in the real world shows that democrats are reliant upon Black people for our votes.
You're speaking what if scenarios. Look at facts.

Barely a month after the Omicron surge you want to open everything back up? Unless Covid has been eliminated you're just asking for the next outbreak to be even worse.

Imagine if they got rid of all mandates, social distancing and WFH before Omicron hit?

There is legit no reason to end WFH right now besides playing politics. And trying to please Big Business.

I don’t understand how putting people in positions where they will determine the law isn’t a tangible impact?

To make it more stark, if Biden had the ability to replace all 9 justices with black women, would that be identity politics or a tangible impact?
Most ppl who get that far will not be on the side of the peiple

You made all of this shyt up. It doesn't have to benefit me personally to be good policy. Are you a sociopath? :mjlol:

And I have been very critical of gig work, especially now as some of these apps are lowering how much they payout in commissions and bonuses as gas prices reach record highs.

I said what the fukk I said. Anybody pushing for an end to WFH is anti-worker. If you have a problem with that, you're probably a corporate bootlicker. :yeshrug:

He the type of person that will harm ANYONE for a dollar.

we’ll see. If those people have the money to cover their bills then maybe, but I don’t think that’s the case for the majority of the country.

Can't believe black people were stupid enough to vote for this racist POS. :gucci: Plus he's an outdated old b*stard that keep up with the times. I can't stand outdated methods.

Luckly nobody likes his dumb ass and very few companies will comply. Remote work is here to stay. Employees finally have the control and that is how it should be.

Sanders would have lost against Trump.
don't remember seeing it for this go around but in 2016 the polls were showing that Sanders was over Trump.
But 2020, what he was warning about was actually occurring and Trump was losing regardless because of his covid response
