Do you even know the Senators and Representatives in your state? How old are they? How long have they been in politics or in office? For the people just starting out in office in your state, do you think they’re controlling anything right now politically or do you think the more senior people in Washington in both parties are controlling things? I can tell that you didn't even read what I posted as you would have noticed that he ruled against student loans in 2005. Years into his tenure in Congress, which means that he would have tenure and power over other members in Congress

People love talking about policies DECADES after the fact. In 2005, there was no “student loan crisis”. Saying someone voted against student loans being discharged in bankruptcy in 2005 doesn’t have the same ring as doing in 2021. Opinions change. Variables change. The political zeitgeist changes. Just like the Crime Bill nonsense. Everyone was with it in 1993. Black people included. Now in 2021, suddenly everyone who voted for it was a horrible person.
