I don’t blame him... There is a labor shortage, if these lazy b*stards would simply go pick up a 2nd job at Amazon by the time his term is over, they should be able to pay back the debt that they signed for Bi Den.:pachaha:

Essential worker babble.

Like you said. Originally it was a good idea but many things happened. Higher education felt they could keep charging more and more cause it was government loans, grants and private loans. Jobs began to get shipped overseas and further south to increase profits while cutting wages. Government refusing to increase grants significantly over time. Foolish parents and students not doing a cost benefits analysis on whether taking out a loan for all this money for a degree is effective in ensuring a career. Predatory colleges prey on students and students not taking into account what happens if they are not able to pay back this loan.

The whole thing is a clusterfukk of epic proportion.

This is the problem I see with student loans. This back and forth mildly addresses paying off the result of a problem but doesn’t address preventing the problem to begin with. These universities have based a lot of their budget around getting loan money from the government. If you start limiting how much loans go out to begin with, a TON of schools would not survive.

If you look at a lot of college campuses these days, you’ll see a shytton of amenities, luxury amenities, all built to attract students ergo bring in more loan dollars. It’s unnecessary.

People here have said college is a scam, which I don’t necessarily agree with. But then I remember taking Chemistry as a freshman and the textbook costing nearly $300....in 2004. I can start to see their point.

yup. schools are institutions with thousands of people that work in them. they get paid by these tuitions and loans. it was really irresponsible to let things get out of control like this.

it's similar to how big medical institution workers don't vote for universal healthcare because their job is based on the existing infrastructure. so even if it makes sense to them, in the short term they have to protect their livlihood.

Also folks need to stop. Student loans wasn't the main reasonon folks voted for biden.

It was for better handling of covid. If not for covid trump monkey ass would still be in office.

Now if you want to say the 4 main reasons folks voted for biden was Covid handling, minimum wage of 15 dollars, student loan forgiveness and another stimulus check then thats legit.

But student loan forgiveness was not the main reason folks voted for biden.

It was top 3 for me. And he won’t be getting my vote unless I see a minimum of 10k wiped clean.

I blame commercials like this

got people out here feeling sorry for themselves for not going to school. Then they apply to schools like this and take pot all they money. Spend the difference on other shyt and then get mad at the repercussions later. Everybody can’t get all these scholarships and grants so they end up taking out massive loans. I wonder how many people on here were taught about how to get money for college while in high school.. I sure wasn’t taught that, just gone andvgo to college and figure it out later.
