Because Lebron subtly throws his teammates under the bus, constantly has them playing under trade rumors, makes cryptic statements to undermine the front office, and constantly acts like if the org isnt leveraging their future at all times theyre not serving him. He has done this across multiple franchises

Giannis wanting the org to get Dame isnt close. It's a star telling a team that he wants another star, and this is after giannis committed to small market Milkwaukee with a new extension, instead of hanging free agency drama over them. And obviously the whole team didnt fukk with Griffin.

Giannis’ words ring hollow in the Milwaukee FO without the threat of leaving that Bron made valid :manny:

I don't think it's possible to undermine the fact that Giannis got himself a ring with that franchise before all of this. I just don't.
He gets the benefit of the doubt moreso than Bron because he tasted that success at home and has been hellbound on tasting it again....at home. Both Machiavellian, but totally different circumstances

To be honest, Bron stanleys, this convo is a bit above your pay grade. Bron could never relate to the situation Giannis is in, it's really not a parallel. One is a mercenary/vagabond, the other isn't lol

It’s the exact same conversation. You’re arguing semantics and personal opinions.

Causal nba fans love Greek Giannis cause he’s linked with the Europeans
And hate lebron cause he’s African American

There is absolutely a tendency/bias in the US for people to love and support Black stars/celebrities etc that have some sort of "public failure/vulnerability/weakness/liability" moreso than one without public blemish or one that has a more direct connection to whiteness (by birth, marriage, politics etc) than one that is unabashedly Black.

Bron has his faults, like everyone else...but the one thing that I feel never gets as much attention as it deserves, even though it's widely discussed.....is the fact that he's achieved all of this with the weight of the world on his shoulders since he was 14/15 years old.

In every other sport where you had kids that young being hounded by media, playing professionally etc.....most of them ended up burning out, never fulfilling expectations or even if they did have great careers, weren't still on the top of the game even as they approach 40 yrs old. The other thing to realize is that many of them played individual sports (tennis), not having to rely on teammates nor having the pressure of representing cities or franchises etc.

Dude kept it real with the girl who was with him from the beginning, and never embarrassed himself by making babies with some silicone injected "influencer." His kids aren't embarrassing him by becoming tabloid fodder chasing clout bc they're looking for the approval they never received from their father (see Jordan).
