Yup. I was at the Miami one in April and the line was queue up outside the elevator on the bottom level and It was only 930am.

yeah i took my ass to the near by priority pass lounge and it was zero wait. I was recently at the lounge in Sao Paulo and that joint was jam packed too

i frequent jfk, and LGA. I’ve also been to the phoenix, and Seattle centurion lounges and haven’t had this experience. Someone sent me a pic of the DFW centurion lounge having a line out the door

in feb of 2023 the removal of free additional guests is going to drastically reduce crowding.

I went to the Seattle one back in February. Line out the door down the concourse. I got lucky cause I was by myself and I only wait 10min in line.
The worse one I’ve been to was CLT in the morning.

can’t wait when the free additional guest stuff ends.

Yea I skip the São Paulo one too and went right to a priority pass lounge.

Ya talking about lounges. I haven’t even switched to plat yet. When I do, I can just add wifey to a card like I did with my kids with the gold or they dubbing that? I’m reading soon you can’t even bring one addition into these lounges soon? Wtf

starting in feb 2023 you would have to make her a plat authorized user not a gold or you'll have to pay $50 to get her in

it depends on what you do
if you travel a lot plat has a lot of perks with airlines and credits
gold has great points for restaurants and grocery stores
the other ones that don't have an AF are good too like amex everyday

Amex has like 20 different cards I won’t try to sell you on the brand as a whole. For me the platinum card is > chase sapphire because I use centurion airport lounges frequently and chase doesn’t have its own lounge network or give you access to lounges of the Amex caliber.


That’s the real reason for me to keep the platinum card and there are a handful of other perks like CLEAR that sweeten the pot
