The Lil Scrappy joke aside he really wasn't a gangster tho. Big Meech and most of the rest of them BMF cats were just hustlers and business men. nikkas in the streets didn't fear BMF, they just had cheaper work than any other Black drug dealers so you really didn't have a choice but to shop with them. A couple of them BMF dudes got laid out and there really wasn't any retaliation.They wasn't on no "get down or lay down" type shyt they just came thru cities with numbers on the work that blew the competition out the water. And people always talk about Meech but his brother T was out in LA and he had just as much pull if not more than Meech did. He was the one dealing directly with the Cartel, BMF used Atlanta as its down south and east coast hub but all the work came from LA.

I don't glorify my past but BMF did do it big but it was damn near a dope boy draft...they'd come thru and have better prices but only holler at the cats whose name was ringing bells in the city...

But cats like Rayful Edmonds, the real Rick Ross and them cats up in Detroit who will remain nameless did it bigger.

And believe it or not J Prince is a very positive brother but he is not to be played with.

That's exactly what they were. BMF was actually a beautiful thing when it came to the power of Black people when we put our regional, neighborhood and gang BS aside. Being around those dudes you would see that they literally had a nikka from damn near every major city that has a decent Black population in their crew. A few of my boys from childhood used to run with them, one ended up catching a case in Ohio behind the fall out when they all got knocked but before all that I did hang out with him and his people from time to time. Even took a trip to Miami back for the VMA's back in like '04 with them nikkas. I had a 9-5 at the time and didn't even want to go because I didnt want to miss work but he was like bro I will pay your way on everything if you go. They rented a whole 2 floors out at the Marlin Hotel on Collins Blvd in South Beach and everyone had their own room. Being associated with one of my homeboys in particular actually fukked up my first job. BMF used to have this magazine called Juice that went along with their "rap label" and when I went to Miami with them their photographer took a pic of me and my patna with like 3 of his homeboys in VIP at the old Club Bed. Long story short they put the photo in Juice and some people at my job saw me in it, to make it worse my homeboy who was a little older than me went to HS with this one lame ass dude at my job and he knew what my homie was about. He totally started up rumors that I was selling dope basically and while I was catching a play here or there I was far from a D-Boy. My boss and I did have good relationship but when the rumors started flying it was a wrap for me. It took them a year but they let me go the minute shyt around the office got tight payroll wise.

I will give respect where it is due and outside of BMF, Detroit nikkas period put nikkas in my city on the out of town hustle. Eveything from the work to taxes. Outside of Boogalo Brown from the Best Friends getting murked at the Hilton in downtown Atlanta back in the early 90's or that boy KC from East Atlanta getting murked up in Detroit back in like '02 or '03, Atlanta and Detroit actually vibe together very well. A few of the cats in my circle back at the crib were from the D.
