u clearly didn’t listen to the whole entire interview
because you’re leaving out the fact of the initial conversation between him and biggie
with biggie exactly , specifically telling him what samples he wanted on his own track for his album
Are you a bit slow?
It doesn't matter if biggie told him what samples he wanted to use, when he brought it to him and puff they didn't purchase nor provide a deposit.
No difference than the example I gave you with the cabinents.
Damn my guy this concept is simple.

apparently, you’re the one that’s a bit slow

Again, did you watch the whole entire video because you seem to be leaving out crucial parts
off rip Puff told him big budget wasn’t done yet ; thereafter he still had a conversations with big on what big wanted on his track

so like I previously posted it’s either 2 things
he should’ve never did the track or experiment on the track until big budget came through
or
he should’ve did the track and just basically put it away until big budget came through

at the end of the fukking day it’s bigs concept it’s bigs ideas it’s bigs vision = it’s bigs track

nothing you keep repeating is crucial.
So what if puff told him the budget wasnt done yet, it is irrelevant.
So what that big told him what he wanted, its irrelevant.
there was no binding contract .
Why should he have not did the track when he sold them? Thats stupidity.
He did they track and offered to them to buy, based off what Big said he wanted. , he didn't put a deposit down to hold them they get sold to the next guy.

There is no breach of contract.
Big has the ability to make or instruct someone to make the same beat, he has no right to to the concept of what he would like to hear in a song or a beat.

shyt isn't complicated.

It's not your beat until you pay for it. The budget not being ready is not the producer's problem. You didn't pay for it you can't get mad if they shop it to other artists who are paying now and are willing to double your fee.

I understand Big's emotions but I bet he'd have done the same thing if they switched positions.

listen my point is being completely missed

I am not arguing whether or not Rashad Smith should’ve sold the track to Chris Lighty. I could care less.
My point is that the track that was created by Rashad was directly instructions from biggie … which essentially makes it biggie‘s creation

if it wasn’t
all you have to do is listen where Rashad is saying he had a meeting with Chris at his office and was playing multiple tracks for LL’s album and accidentally pressed on the track he specifically made for biggie …..
and when Chris said yo play that again …. Rashad paused , shook his head , said no , thats for biggie

:yeshrug: there is absolutely nothing to add after that

You don't have a point
No that's not biggie beat because he didn't make it

He asked someone to make something for him he did and he didn't want to pay him for it he sold it elsewhere.

You seem a little bit slow though and the reality of contractual obligations eludes you

I remember hearing Doin It for the first time and quickly realising this beat is uniquely cold, it evoked so many feelings..Im not surprised Big was furious.

It's not Big's creation because Rashad did the actual work in making the beat but if Big wanted a co-producer credit then he could have negotiated that but he acted like a hoe getting emotional, making threats, and breaking contact. Handle it like a businessman and demand points for your idea.

He made it for Big but it didn't belong to Big without the deposit.

Once Rashad told Puff he needed money because he had a kid on the way he should've known those beats might get sold. Puff/Bad Boy didn't have 30k?:stopitslime: Give him something to hold him down and then when Big's budget comes in deduct the 30k.

Rashad would only be in the wrong if he played the beats after Puff paid him. Nothing belongs to you until you've paid for it. I'm sure Puff has had artists come to him saying they had an offer from another label and offered them more money to sign with him. I'm sure Big has done similar.

I don’t know whether or not you’re trolling or you’re just fukking retarded … cause I do see you’re like damn near 3000 in the red

with that said
why do you keep lying? You’re not telling the fukking true story , you cannot say big didn’t pay him
when big & puff told Rashid upfront before anything went down that the up-and-coming album budget hasn’t been established as yet

I feel for you breh. It seems you have a real hard time understanding child like order of events

:snoop: this is getting a bit ridiculous with y’all posters on here

how in the hell did big get emotional? He came up with a concept for his song , told a producer what he wanted for the track , the dude did the track and sold it to somebody else
at the end of the day that’s foul …. if it wasn’t foul, then why does Rashad say himself that he understood why big didn’t wanna fukk with him anymore that was his own words

I just don’t understand why you dudes are completely ignoring the fact that he was told upfront that the budget wasn’t cleared
yet he still did the track , I need y’all to explain this to me

Principles. Men dont do that..its against man law to pull a stunt like that and breh knows it.
We all know it.
Sure, you got your money but we cant deal anymore.
Now, if they were dealing with a woman we would understand.
