Then it dawned on me on what it was. It was the sequencing.

It's very apparent that the sequencing is an issue. The run of love, rapping, love, love, etc in the middle of the album sounds so out of place; basically everything after the transition track--Harden Than My Demons. If you don't like bruh that's cool but if you were to swap half of this album around, it's a smoother listen.

Sean might need more song writing direction. Theres a lot of filler lyrics and he could use someone to channel his energy better. Lets say a 7.5.

The raps are fine just needs better direction.

This is rappity rap rap... I get it. Its not bad. The songs could just be better. I see Sean just gave up on chasing the charts and is transitioning to just feeding fans.

These artists be putting a lot of time and years into these albums for people to trash it mins and a few hours after it released without giving it throughly listen. shyt is disrespectful. After listening to this I don't even know what type of music y'all want from Sean anymore. After Dark Sky Paradise He went the concept route album with "I Decided" people who jumped on the bandwagon after the DSP album killed that album even though it went to go Platinum with multiple hits. He tried to go the opposite way with Metro Boomin and created a Trap Project and people killed him for that too. Now he returns to his roots for this album and people are saying it's not good enough when he's rapping his ass off on this album with high level production. Just let's me know some of y'all were never fans of his to be began with. Looking at the feedback from his fanbase looks like he got one with this. Positive feedback.

Finished listening to it...I can't defend this project. I don't like the production on it

After the first listen it's my least favorite album from him. I liked Deep Reverence with Nipsey and Wolves, it's the coli wolves anthem

Lucky me, I was damn near about to hit skip then the beat switched I could do without the first half of the track.

The subject matter of the album is cool but the production just ain't it.

Dark Sky Paradise is his best studio album

Its blows my mind that people think the 2nd part of that song is better than the 1st. That first beat was so cold I was expecting jay to come in with a verse. Different taste I guess, although that beat switch was pretty fire.

From a technical standpoint, he's a very good rapper. He's got the flow down. He just needs to work on songwriting and structure.
