I'll give it to Ye because in the end, he's had a positive impact on rhe art form, despite a lot of missteps too. Wayne has had a few nods, but his impact is more negative.

kanyes music>>

kanyes influence>>>

kanyes beats>>>>

no competition. wayne had one of the best runs ever but if he wasnt signed to cash money best believe he would be :flabbynsick: right now

Cash Money's brand was pretty much dead until Wayne went on that tear from 04-07. Before that CMR was :flabbynsick: status with them lame Big Tymers albums,Birdman solos and 500 Degreez. CMR wouldn't be shyt without Wayne not the other way around.

shyt every clueless up and comer that isn't themselves is basically a Wayne or Kanye knockoff...so we can split the difference.

They're either whining or talking about how they made it despite the odds, half-singing simp songs, or doing records rife with weak wordplay....both of them do that pretty much exlusively nowadays.

It's a toss up...but I'll say Wayne because he's more mainstream whereas Kanye is still a little alternative...

FYI, this wasn't a quality discussion for me, we're talking sway over a bunch of 20 year olds, doesn't take much quality

Clearly I'm missing something here, but what exactly is Lil Wayne influencing?

We can talk in terms of artistry, image or overall I guess..

I'll settle with artistry for now...

Kendrick
Thugga
Lil Uzi
Tory Lanez (at a point)
Nicki Minaj
Drake (at a point)
2 Chainz (at a point)

Kanye, bar none. Half these dudes would've been clowned out of the game by now. Unfortunately, it also leads to a lot of scrubs getting put on because Kanye was way too accepting of bullshyt, when he was on top.
