I never understood why people rate him so highly.

I just figured that him and Pac dying so young is why.

Someone said Dead Wrong is one of his best songs. I heard it the other day and was kinda disgusted.

BIG and Pac are dope. Just overrated.

BIGs accolades mostly came while he was alive. He was seen as the East's savior. He was super nice AND sold records. He didn't get nearly the death stimulus that Pac did. LAD was being hyped beyond belief BEFORE he died.

"Today's agenda, got the suitcase up in the sentra. Go to room 112, tell em Blanco sent ya"

The fact that you gotta wait to the 3rd verse to find out they were hispanic, and the breakdown that Blanco = white in spanish and then to know the metaphor of KONY and Christopher Walken that wraps it all up to why Frank White sent them in the first place. Song is like a Dave Chappelle bit it always comes full circle. Rappers don't rap like this anymore Biggie was special man

To be fair, younger hungry Biggie (no pun) aged horribly. Dude was on some shock and jock shyt.

Once he got into his own and matured a bit, it was too late.

Lord knows what would have been if Big was still here.

The fact that dude actually spit a conversation in the story was powerful in itself. Rappers like Big and Nas are so amazing with the craft of storytelling and it sucks that we rarely get those type of tracks anymore.

I always say he was the most basic/simple …complex rhyming rapper of all times…

Never really had a gang of crazy metaphors or similes ..didn’t need to bring out a thesaurus for his vocabulary …wasn’t even necessarily a punchline rapper either ..but what he did have was arguably the greatest multi syllable flow ever … the amount of multi’s that he would cram into a bar was next level

That mic presence with that unique voice and storytelling imagery was amazing …And for as much as people shyt on the shiny suit shyt that puffy was on i’m glad he took big and put that polish on him and let him really flourish as the unicorn hit maker slash top tier lyricist…that combo is rare with most rappers
