No it isnt...its because they also had playmakers. Ne has nobody on offense...look at what brady did with the same cast last year
Brady is the GOAT and I recognize that. He was obviously the one constant for players during this 20 year run, and he deserves all of the praise in the world for what he did. However, what ends up happening is many people keep hit nuts twelve inches in their throats while trying to diminish what BeliGOAT has done here. 1. What Brady is doing in unbelievable, but his performance doesn't diminish what BeliGOAT has done. Brady got to CHOOSE where he wanted to go, and went to the perfect situation for him. He teams up with Evans and Godwin.......gets Gronk to come out of retirement........gets Fournette.........and has a ferocious defense behind hm. That is not a knock on him at all, but he was able to choose EXACLTY where he wanted to go, and went to a great spot. 2. BeliGOAT is not only the coach, but the GM. He lost Van Noy, Collins, Roberts, Shelton, and Ebner this off-season. He sent Harmon to Detroit. He also had his teams leader on defense sit out this season (and I have ZERO issue with that). 3. He had to bring in a new QB to play with this young team in a year with no real off-season and no pre-season. The Patriots had ZERO offensive penalties with Cam as QB this season until today. THAT is coaching. Throwing three INT's, not getting separation, and missing tackles is not coaching. That is just flat out piss poor play by the players. People comparing the two situations are ridiculous. With all due respect to Brady, the Patriots making the playoffs this year would be more impressive than the Bucs making it..
Okay and? I never said he was a bad coach. The point is that Brady is the reason why we call him the GOAT, and that without him, he's a regular hall of fame coach. P.S. he had Drew Bledsoe... a multi-time Pro-Bowl QB that Parcells took to the Super Bowl... and went 5-11 with in 2000.
And, people fail to realize that the Bucs need to win NOW, as in this season and the next few. BeliGOAT doesn't have to go "all in" for one season. He's going to continue to build the team to be a Super Bowl caliber team every year. It's a completely different plan than what Brady has in mind with the Bucs.
Nobody saying Tom is a bad QB either, because by that same token you could argue that Bill is the reason we call Tom the goat. Because at the end of the daythe point about Tom is that having a coach like a Beli is the reason he’s being praised the way that he is, otherwise he’s no different than any other elite QB. it’s easier to get a QB at or near Toms level than it is to have a coach on bills level. Drew Brees on the Pats he’d be the GOAT
Personally, I've always had Tuna as the GOAT, not Beli. He could walk into any situation and make them competitive almost immediately. If there wasn't talent on the roster, he was restocking the cupboards within a couple years.
Belichick? Goat GM? DK Metcalfe Hollywood Brown Diontae Johnson Deebo Samuel AJ Brown Ayiuk These are all receivers Belichick could have gotten the last couple of years. Who did he get? N'Keal Harry. Who the fukk did he draft this year that is getting playing time? Dalton Keane? John Uche? The 5th round kicker that he wasted a pick on? Getting Sony Michel over Nick Chubb? Plus, all those all drafts that failed to produce receivers and running backs. He got Gronk and Hernandez, that's good. But that doesn't make him the GOAT GM. One of Belichick's strengths was supposed to be his "system" that could put anyone in and succeed. Yet Cam, Stidham (who he drafted), etc. and the offense and their vaunted secondary are suspect right now. As Pats fan, I've checked out on Bill since 2010/2011, and this year is exposing it.
