Why would you use Brady to argue against Belichick's ability to put a team together when he's the one who drafted Brady and put a team around him that competed for SBs for 19 straight years?

Because him hitting Brady ended up masking his misses over the next 19 years.

The way you say it, you're implying that he consistently puts together great teams every year, when it's really that he drafted Brady, and then had 1 good draft every every now and then (like in 2010 and 2012) that has made up for him not having a good draft in a while. Was 2016 his last good draft?

Ignore Beli's record without Tom brehs :mjlol:

Ignore a 16-0 nearly unstoppable machine of a team going 10-5 while missing the playoffs without its QB brehs.....and spend the next 12 years pretending it was a great season :mjlol:

I

This is one is the funniest because that wasn't a good accomplishment AT ALL.

Like, a LOT of coaches have actually done more impressive work than that :russ:

Mike Zimmer took Case Keenum to a 13-3 record and the NFC Title game. :mjlol:
Jim Harbaugh went to 49ers team that was ass for years and turned Alex Smith from a bust to a pro-bowl QB and brought them to the NFC title game :mjlol:
Mike Tomlin won 9 games with the WORST QBs in the league and with his skill position players being injured.:mjlol:
Denver won 9 games with Tim Tebow:mjlol:
Bill Cowher took Neil O'Donnel to the Super Bowl in 95 and Tommy Maddox to the AFC title game in 2001 :mjlol:

Jeff Fisher went 13-3 with Kerry Collins and CJ2K with the 2008 Tennessee Titans :mjlol:
Jim Fassel and Sean Payton went 13-3 with Kerry Collins and took him to a super bowl in 2000 :mjlol:
Sean Payton went 6-0 with Teddy Bridgewater last year.:mjlol:

Todd Haley who is a BUM went 10-6 with Matt Cassel the year after with a worse team and tougher schedule!!!! :mjlol::mjlol::mjlol::russ::russ::russ:

Like bro... A LOT OF GOOD COACHES would have went 11-5 with Matt Cassell. John Harbaugh got 10+ wins outta Joe Flacco every fukking year, what makes you think that he couldn't get 11 wins out of a team that went 16-0 with Matt Cassel?

Hindsight 20/20 on half those receivers you named
Hollywood already got picked,

Aiyuk wasn’t even in the 2019 draft and When they was both in college N’Keal was better and it wasn’t even close so I’m not understanding what you’re saying exactly

The NFL draft is a guessing game, a crapshoot. Picking N’Keal over those guys is not like picking Tribusky over Watson

The issue is that it's too many times. Look at what I posted before of Belichick's receivers over the past 20 years in comparison with the Steelers.

Close thread .

Y’all really trying to do this shyt to BeliGoat? :wtf:

Belichick has amassed 187 regular season wins as a head coach.
136-39 with Tom Brady
51-65 without Tom Brady

He managed a great QB and built some good defenses early on. He did enough not to get in the way the last 15 years, most years. The QB is the GOAT in this relationship

Breh the team he put together won SBs and was a contender for 19 straight years. What other measure do you need to judge GMs other than the success of the teams they put together?:what:

What other GM has put together teams the past 19 years that measure up to what Beli has done?:skip:
The first 3 rings featured a defense that Parcells and Caroll had put in place and he just had to tweak it with some first rounders (Seymour, Wilfork) and some vets that came on the cheap to win. That wasn’t some masterful team building. His drafting of offensive weapons has been questionable at best. He drafts guys like Gronk and Hernandez that are sure fire first round talents that drop due to injury and character concerns and it works out for him. He drafts other talented but injured players like Malcolm Mitchell and it doesn’t work out for him. Meanwhile, the Steelers somehow always find ways to draft great skill position players.

Pats are good at drafting catching RBs and offensive lineman. Aside from that, if it’s not a first rounder on defense then lower your expectations. We have seen this for 15 straight years.

Nobody nails their draft picks every single year:mjlol:. What kind of 6 year old mentality is this :mjlol:

GM is not just about drafting it's about putting a team together. Who has done that better the past 19 years in this salary cap era?

These are only the ones that there is no argument to be made that they have no been good picks. People will use hindsight and try to diminish Michel and some others though.

Not to mention many of these players stayed longer than four years unlike that long list of Steelers WR's.

Breh i'm gonna assume you're a fan of the team and follow it as I've been. Yeah some draft picks could have been better. shyt, i know that his drafting of WRs ain't great. But i'm gonna look at the overall picture and compare what he's done with the Pats vs what other GMs have done during his run:manny:.

Marino was GOAT level QB with a GOAT level HC, and how many SBs does he have? The teams he had were never good enough. Belichick always put a team around Brady that was good enough to win SBs.

Side with coaches over players brehs :mjlol:

Think a QB winning Super Bowls while completing passes to midgets that get 6 inches of separation is the coaches doing brehs :mjlol:

Ignore Beli's record without Tom brehs :mjlol:

Ignore a 16-0 nearly unstoppable machine of a team going 10-5 while missing the playoffs without its QB brehs.....and spend the next 12 years pretending it was a great season :mjlol:

Ignore a coach benching his starting all-pro CB in a SB and giving up 373 yards, 3 tds and taking the L to a journeyman QB brehs :mjlol:

Lie to yourself and the world and call the QB "a system QB" for 20 years and still not be able to define what the system is brehs :mjlol:
*drops mic*
I was going hard on Beli and definitely exaggerating but there were patriot fans trying to tell me it was "the system" aka beli that made the patriots run or Brady as good .. fukk outta here

Wow thecoli is dumb. This was always a rebuilding year, which is why Brady left. They didn't invest in skill positions and had many star players drop out for covid concerns. This was part of the plan therefore, it doesn't prove what you guys think it proves.
