Dude was telling the truth, black people have issues.

We liked to be spoke to like children, because we undermine ourselves after being treated like animals for so long.

We don't reality, we what want sounds good, sympathy, and for someone to hold our hands.

And that's why we embrace these slave films so much, we want the pity for how hard we've got it and how hard we have it.

Instead of something telling us to soak it up and push throw that glass top, because we can if only we could see it, but we can't because we act, think, and live like kids.

And Christianity is a part of the problem because it supports being addressed as a kid.

He's an old black talking down like they always do. We have a few of them in every family. Not a big deal

Yeah, this is that old black man, "pull your pants up" type sh*t. I'm not outraged by what he said but lets not act like If someone like :comeon: or even a young nicca like :lolbron: made these comments word for word, c00n shamers wouldn't be ready with the tar and feathers.

:pachaha: Look at dis lil fakkit. Always wanna be babied ass nikka. Oh so because he didn't sugarcoat shyt(or point the blame towards anyone else) and gave you the truths raw from the perspective of an older black man who's seen it all, you tryna chastise him? Not to mention he's actually a philanthropist and activist in the community... but somehow he was in the wrong for spilling out his frustrations? Foh B.
Real shyt...he's been putting in work for the black community before some of these nikkas parents were even born, yet they got nerve to call him c00n :heh:

"In the speech, Cosby says that African Americans should no longer blame discrimination, segregation, governmental institutions, or others for higher unemployment rates among Blacks or the racial achievement gap; rather, they have their own culture of poverty to blame"

Looking back at it now, this one of the major reasons why people got turned off. It's not the speech in it' self, but just like chris rock's joke, white people propped it up as a way to say that our situation was born from our hands and that racism(in this case police brutality) was justified. I mean, you can't tell me that "'The cops shouldn't have shot him.' What the hell was he doing with the pound cake in his hand?" don't sound similar to "why did tamir have a gun" "Pants Up, Don't Loot" or "why mike stole those cigarillos".

bill actually spoke some harsh truth directly to black people. nobody likes to be told about themselves but barely any of that applies to me so i took no offense.

my issue is that he didnt get to the root of the issue - white people and their systematic oppression of blacks. we can never lose track of what the real issue is. he spent too much time attacking the symptoms and not the illness.

nikka, you a fakkit. I can chastise him because the message he spoke was of a condensing nature and there are PLENTY of other people of color who agree (DL Hughley for instance). Ok, so he was a philanthropist and activist in the community, does that negate the fact that talked in a condescending tone, nope. There's talking to people and there's talking down to people. An obviously a man with skeletons in his closet on his level shouldn't be out here talking down to the same people he's expecting support from damn near 15 year's later. I'm not denying that he didn't speak truths on certain things I'm just saying he should've tailored the message a little better.

my question is if black people listened to what bill said, would that hurt or harm the black community? :jbhmm:

its actually sick that we are trained to welcome destructive music 24/7 but this is what the black community chose to be up in arms about. :martin:

you sound very feminine with this condescending tone crap. was his advice helpful or harmful to the black community?
