If Rose comes back and doesn't mentally trust his knee, he will over compensate and subsequently hurt something else. If that happens, and he hurts the same knee or the other knee, then Rose will be Randy Livingston. He is being smart and I can't blame him for that when it's his livelihood at stake.

I think he's expecting and/or hoping to work the kinks out during camp and pre-season. I wouldn't be shocked if he even tried to play in summer league. Like you said though, it won't work. He needs to get in a real competitive atmosphere for him to get back to normal.

Come on breh penny and g hill were supposed to be the new Jordan. They were Lebron before Lebron minus the freak athleticism.
Penny was better than Rose in every aspect of the game. Better shot, passer/playmaker as good handles for his size. He even had a nice post game.
Grant Hill was a triple double machine.
Rose is a nice guy and a role model but I question his heart. He's not tough like, say, Iverson or Isaiah was. But I hold him to a high standard like everyone else.

I can tell most of y'all never even played sports or been hurt before. It usually takes around a year to just get back to NORMAL everyday things, not even thinking about ball. Rose should set his own timetable, why the fukk would he put his knees in the hands of someone else?
But I do say that he should have had a different role this year. Like a face of the franchise or 'assistant coach' or something like that. I only saw dude on the bench at games like four times
