Honestly you kill me being this stupid. Who racially profiled you? Maybe you wish people did that's why you came to a conclusion I didn't say or even imply. I just meant I normally hear white people say things like you said not that you weren't black. That don't have shyt to do with you being white at all. Also who said you had to pay attention because I've also said in other threads they have fake opinions at times so what are you really saying? A lot of people watch Mayweather to see him lose because if it was just because of skill so many people wouldn't say his fights are boring. @Pesci out of curiosity what part do,you agree with?
I agree with the part where he asked what race had to do with disliking a lot of the lowbrow stuff on ESPN

So you're stupid too then because what I said has nothing to do with what race he is. Nobody reads with understanding anymore

Yeah, "you sound like a stereotypical white dude" had nothing to do with race he is. What a stupid person I am!

Yep stupid you are. What does what I said have to do with his race? If you can't answer that yes you are stupid. That statement means exactly what the fukk it says you usually hear white people say stuff like that not blacks. It doesn't mean dude isn't black but obviously you're too stupid to understand that.

I remember a podcast between them this year (talking about SNL IIRC) where they edited a chunk of the interview were Miller asked Simmons about his suspension and his contract status. They did a good job at hiding anything that could lead to speculation about BS leaving ESPN except one quote from Miller that I just can't remember right now. It all makes sense now :ohhh:

You're an idiot.
No, I'm right

When has Bill Simmons ever given great perspective on a basketball game that we are watching

He knows a lot of basketball history but he doesn't know basketball
Oh look, another thread that's turning into a race war. This is exactly why I've been visiting this place less and less.

Whatever the case, here's Deitsch's column on the subject, which is worth reading, and I'm out.

I made a thread saying please don't ruin sports discussion treating this stuff subforum likes it's the TRL

It's really the worst

Entertainment trumps everything. Broner is more of a heel than Mayweather and he barely registers with most people. Mayweather doesn't go out of his way to say fukked up stuff about people. He's confident. He bets on himself. He says what he believes. He's not a troll. He's a cat that got rich and shows it off. That's no different than any other rich cat.

fixed. Obviously his talent is important and Floyd is clearly a troll and there's nothing wrong with that. His public persona is a carefully crafted and extremely lucrative business decision that allows him to draw incredible amounts of viewers for fights that most of the viewing public feels are "boring".

I've always thought Simmons was interesting, but I came to respect him much more as a talent gatherer than for his own talent. His columns are okay, but I was never a huge fan. I enjoy his podcasts if he has the right guest. But, Grantland and 30-for-30 are the best things ESPN turned out in a long damn time. I read Grantland almost every day. That's one of my favorite sites on the entire net. And there were very few 30-for-30s that I didn't end up watching multiple times. So, I don't care that Simmons isn't going to be on television on ESPN or writing those long-winded email response columns for them anymore, but I do hope a big media conglomerate continues to let him put me on to new talent...and if it means I sometimes have to deal with his whiny voice and Boston homerism that's fine by me.
