People don't really have divided opinions about it. It's universally acclaimed. That don't mean everyone likes it but it was a success and well received by any measure of the words.

Acclaimed by critics. I'm talking real people. There's a very vocal group of people who hate the game.
More than usual. There's not a group like this that hates Breaking Bad or The Wire.
The Last of Us doesn't get hated on like Bioshock Infinite.

I found all that in 2-3 minutes. There's a fukk ton more, pages of it.
Like I said, it's the internet. Anything that is well received is bound to bring out a vocal minority that is against it, for whatever reason. Some might have legitimate complaints, others might just want to go against the grain.
Anyway, I think using the term "overrated" is corny as hell because it makes assumptions about someone else's opinion. The people are rating it exactly how they want to.

People who looked at it from an actual critical eye? There was a lot of criticism from certain circles. Check out what someone like say, Leigh Alexander wrote about it.

I have no idea who Leigh Alexander is. I'm saying, I've never met a person offline that didn't at the very least like the game a lot. I had no idea there was even a backlash against it's acclaim until I came online....which again, online there's backlash for anything with acclaim.
