:dwillhuh: How so? Literally the historical evidence in front of you tells you otherwise

The last this month Bitcoin wasn't even 6k and it's at 62k and some change, if that won't convince them nothing real

even when bitcoin crashes which it will, it won't be nowhere near down to its lowest points

So what if something new comes along or becomes the new king of the crypto hill, crypto is not a primary currency, its more of a commodity and its use is purely by choice. If another crypto currency can survive everything that bitcoin has, it will more than likely be used as another payment option (see mastercard, visa, amex, discover, etc.). Chances are extremely likely that we will see a crypto based currency whose value will more align with primary currencies and can be used as such. At this point, buying bitcoin is like investing in precious metals.

Nonsensical comparison.
Say hello to DCEP.. Blockchain based Chinese cryptocurency.

This is about to go worse than they expect, can you imagine how much easier it's going to be to print that shyt? Now they don't need machines for it just straight digital. People keep thinking the yuan finna flip the dollar and shyt gonna be completely normal naw this is a real deal great depression scenario cause if the dollar losing value like that then every other fiat will too. Plus I can't see the yuan being the reserve currency because china has the most sociopathic government in the world with it's invasive monitoring so I don't even see them keeping the dollar flipped that long

What company does bitcoin represent?

It doesn't represent a company, it's a technology, an asset

blockchain bitcoin is built is blueprint for the way all transaction will be handled in the future

their not saying they are the same thing, those were the fastest assets to reach 1 trillion market cap before Bitcoin

I understand bitcoin and all that stuff.

But I don't understand how it's an asset that can be compared to a companies valuation?

Bc bitcoin is a currency. Do currencies tend to have market caps? Also I'm not BSing these are legit questions.

Bitcoin has a market cap because there's finite amount of it
the market cap is based on the value of all bitcoins mined so far
and there's a limit to how many bitcoins can be mined period

Fiat Currency can be generated at anytime at any amount and dumped into the market there is no cap

Bitcoin is valuable because it's rare and finite, and sooner than later you won't even be able to buy it, so those with it, will be extremely rich

so its a good idea to at least get 500 dollars worth because it will be 1 million in ten years

Appreciated. Dunno if 500 now turns into 1MM in 10 years. But I hope so.

I feel like BTC is at "Self Fulfilling Prophecy" levels now.
It'll just keep blowing on up from here.
