OP has some valid points but there's other shyt that we've benefited from

1) I damn sure wouldn't be anyone's investment banker if I had been born in the 50s. If I was lucky, maybe id be a janitor or some back office employee

2) women are mad easier these days plus we have access to abortion and birth control. p*ssy galore :blessed:

True, but what do improved social standards mean if the window for opportunity is smaller than ever?

Good point, but hey, crime is lower and women will take you seriously if you not a simp or a bum. Even the "weirdo" can get laid if he hangs out with the right crew. Back in the 90s and early 00s, that was impossible. You had to be some kind of thug or a super tight mouthpiece to get p*ssy.

Getting a job is harder than ever because of all the technology out there replacing people to do job duties. Your biggest friend and enemy is the computer that you using.

That's why I made my own work. Believe or not my engineering job doesn't even leave me with that much bread after Rent/Car Insurance/Food/Utilities So I write boxing articles/creative articles on the Internet, and I made some moves round the city just to get ahead.

All this while balancing school, just to have some bread in my pocket.

While nikkas before us could work at Rite Aid and be good.

:francis: I wish I coulda grew up in the 90's instead of being born in the 90's
I miss the 90s honestly...I get teary eyed thinking about them.

I was a teenager back then...it's crazy to see things that were just cool at the time become LEGENDARY now..

Biggie
Pac
Movies like Pulp Fiction
Shows like Fresh Prince, Martin, etc...

like we were young back then and took all that stuff for granted. Especially people not having cellphones and internet everywhere.

If you are a black male born in the 70's you're lucky to be alive today. We were adolescents and a teenagers in the late 80's through mid-90's...murder rates were absolutely ridiculous. Chicago today ain't shyt compared to what was going on those days. Murder rate was triple what it is now. Think about it...there were less people living back then and the body count was higher than it is now.

THIS

baby boomers were the greedy ones that adopted Reagan's bullshyt philosophy and everyone is paying for it. Now rent and food is soaring beyond inflation, most 20 and 30 somethings can't live on their own, and the prices of electronics just keep going up and up for no damn reason.

But you 90s babies grew up where you can actually be yourselves and not be labeled "white" for doing things outside of the stereotypical shyt. On top of better technology, more open minded people, better looking women, and clothes you can wear. 80s babies had to grow up with the wannabe thugs and superthugs bragging about jail sentences and selling crack, having a small paradigm of thinking, and wearing the same 3 brands of baggy clothing.

Yea, I was just thinking about that too as I went out skateboarding earlier today. Like I'm 30, I've been skateboarding since I was 5...I remember when skateboarders were looked at like weirdos...but if you were black and skateboarded back then...other black people would call you an oreo and a white boy and a sellout and whatever...now, I see so many black kids skateboard here in NYC it's cool that it's accepted now.

True, p*ssy is easy. I gotta girl now but before I was cuffed I was fukking often. Without using social media or tinder or anything like that. Having a crib and a car, while being fly in NY and moderately good looking and in shape literally means unlimited p*ssy.

This too.

Also I think you can look at it this way--times really suck if you're average, but there are so many ways than there were before to exploit the system and reap benefits if you're above average. Up until the 80s, Wall Street wasn't a lucrative career field open to minorities and tech didn't really exist yet. The truly exceptional had to be satisfied working a regular 9 to 5 making average money. Now there more opportunities to leverage exceptional talents and skills while everyone else suffers.

Point is, don't be average :manny:
