Don't give me that strawman. I didn't say Ancient Egypt wasn't black. I said African Americans have nothing to do with it. Sweden and France are both white countries in Europe. Do they have the same history? Do they have remotely the same culture? Not really. It was built by black people who weren't West African. The issue with black people is they think of Africa is this monolithic, homogenous entity when it's not.
I specifically said African Americans and not black Americans because African Americans are generally what people say to refer to the descendants of slaves. If you really think Egypt had anything to do with people living thousands of miles away on the Western Coast of Africa then I guess you can also tell me that Ancient Greece was built by Norwegians. That is essentially what you're doing. It's still black history but hey I guess what Germany did counts for all of Europe since it's white history, right? See when I use European countries you realize how dumb it sounds to paint an entire continent as a monolithic homogenous group.
What black people, can't be referring to me. When African Americans argue the accomplishments of Ancient Kemet, it is more in defense to accusations that black people haven't contributed to the progression of civilization or are tribal savages. They aren't claiming they are blood relatives to those people. So scholars give lectures on Ancient Kemet, the Ghana Empire etc and group them in one, and might even implement some of the cultural practices for whatever reason, to a people that have been stripped of their previous culture. Then people like you argue saying "oh it's not your history"... when you don't even see it's needed if your taught in school systems that you were nothing before slavery.
