I've had to move around a bit for work the last few years and one of the first things I do is find a local barbershop. No matter where I end up it's the the same comforting experience. shyt is like a ministry for me. My barbers are always some of the friendliest, coolest and most professional cats. Always want a strike up a convo or offer unsolicited female advice or ask me about a sports team I already said 50x I don't follow lmao. Might have a movie playing on the TV that don't come out until 2025. Might pause mid-cut to grab food or answer the phone. The quirks are worth the sense of home though. Hope this corny ass show gets some better writers.

I have literally never seen ANYONE, literally ANYONE speak like this in a barbershop.
There might be a little coded speak so the kids don't catch on but graphic sexual discussions?
I've never heard em.
fukking children and mothers frequent them not just "Men", ESPECIALLY the SINGLE MOMS !

What a horrendously off base depiction of the Black Babershop experience.

One of the things I find funny is as gross as the media portrays men, we really don't go into graphic details about our exploits.

If someone started talking about shooting their load, they'd get told to shut up.

In my life, I have only heard women go into that type of detail so it is a bit ironic to see actions they're known to commit, attributed to black males and packaged as toxic masculinity.
Facts. Woman are entirely more vulgar and detailed about sexual encounters. A dude will say maybe, I smashed so and so. A broad will tell you every single nasty detail.

I had a work dinner once with an internal black focused network of the company and me and my boy went out with about 5 of these black female coworkers. These chicks got a little to comfortable cause they were close. Me and my friend were just meeting them. At some part of the dinner, I’m cooling at the other side of the table and these hoes were getting tipsy and loud thinking they were whispering. These broads start talking about eating nut and cream pies and shyt AT A WORK SPONSORED DINNER. I’m in absolute shock like :dwillhuh:. They see my face from across the table and one of them is like “ did you hear that :mjlit::mjgrin::mjlol:“. Im just like “:scust: yo what are y’all on?” and they all just start cracking up. In my years on earth I’ve never heard one of my friends talk like that and these were professional women who were essentially strangers to me at that time.

Bruh I've been going to barbershops my whole life and there's no way you'll hear language like that, let alone cussing I'm front of women

I'm late to the thread but forget women, you ain't hear language like this simply because of kids!

I mean god damn lol

Barbers talking about titty fukking while lining up a 2nd grader :stopitslime:

This show is a fantasy catered specifically to millenial and Gen Z Black women. This is clearly done by people who have no experience in Black male spaces and are basically making it up. The Barbershop is one of the last safe spaces where Black men of all income levels can congregate but on the same token men are not that aggressive in the presence of a woman gay or othwrwise.
