How do you feel about black christians that are aware that jesus wasn't white but don't really care about what race he was?

1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

If a black Christian doesn't care about the color of Jesus has made God a liar because they don't believe the record that the Bible has of Jesus (white wooly hair and dark skin)

Not caring does equal not believing. That's like saying you're a Christian and not caring that Jesus died and rose again. Or that he was the Messiah. Or that he is the son of god.

It does matter. Imperialists changed the image of Jesus and forced it on other cultures to make themselves appear closer to god than other races and cultures. I'd bet good money the real jesus wasn't white with blue eyes.

In my catholic parish our display is a brown jesus on the cross though.

Almost nobody in that region was white back then

Even now when people are free to fly anywhere, almost nobody in that region is white

Back then, the people there were varying shades of brown....middle eastern or black...whichever one you believe but, not white

Their skin wouldn't hold up there

I had someone tell me that he and his wife have been attending a mixed church that only has the well known image of Jesus as a white guy. He said he told his wife about the discomfort and she was like "it doesn't really matter what color Jesus is cause you keep Jesus in your heart and mind".
