my brother graduated from one of the smaller Ivy League schools this summer and I just checked and that one is abt 6% black from 2 years ago …being on the campus though it looked closer to 2% shyt was sad as hell…it felt neck and neck between whites and Asians though and even Hispanics were well represented…they at 11%

The worst part because of that legacy shyt it’s almost impossible to recover from stuff like this…smh

Is he FBA?

These are the kinds of tangibles that our good brother @Rakim Allah disenfranchise's himself to make sure the black community gets more of :whoo:ain't that right?
These are the type of things that happen when BOTH white supremacist political parties are in bed together and shills on BOTH SIDES are serving them breakfast in bed, friend.

Well at least it will force the FBA/ADOS community to adjust our politics to address the root causes in a holistic way.

No more top 1% Africans and Carribeans coming in and taking those seats and putting a bandaid on these issues.

We need holistic wrap around programs for ADOS in the form of prenatal care, early childhood education, tutoring services, parenting classes, etc.

:ohhh:

Who cares, they were probably mostly black immigrants anyway.
full
"they should work trades/be farmers!"- some dildo who has never worked either.
I'm glad this happened. Black people weren't benefiting from this, it was all white women. Anyway, I like my racism out in the open. Makes it easier to show America who they really are. #Reparations #BlacksForTrump2024 #FDMG2080
Tangibles baby
:blessed:

The caricaturing can't even top the level of daftness emitting from these goofy nikkas :russ:

While I am glad more students are enrolling in HBCUs. The idea that doors are closing for Black students at schools like MIT is not a net positive. MIT's network is insane and if you graduate it's one of the few schools that can plug you into a high paying job right right away. MIT only admits the elite and elite Blacks should have access to elite institutions should the grades allow that.
I wholeheartedly agree with your post breh.

That elite black boys and girls have their chances diminished of enrolling in top institutions is a real tragedy.

But just maybe, it's time to build a top institution HBCU. I mean, it would be a costly endeavor for sure, but it's time to ask whether the money/brains/strength/heart to do that exists in the current era or not.

Competition is the only option, the enemy already got their first hit on our children (barring them from super resourceful institutions).

Having studied in the US, it was inspiring to have learned that so many influential black people didn't attend these top universities and still achieved so much in their lifetimes.

But maybe more can be done. I will always mourn the victims of the tulsa race massacre, 'cause as far as I'm concerned, for ADOS, that was the legit best way to survive living in a foreign land.

No Hating about it.

UMD and Morgan State are basically on the same Tier.
It doesn't bother me that MIT opens up way more doors than either of them. You seem to be taking way more offense to that fact than I do.
Umd and Morgan state are not on the same tier. When you talk about big state universities you can’t speak on the university as a whole but on the individual colleges. Marylands journalism, comp sci, and engineering school are some of the best in the country. The business school is solid as well

Do something about what? RBG refused to resign, and she was a judge, not a member of the Democratic establishment. Nobody had any control of her so that's on her head. Exactly what did you expect Obama to do during his terms that would have prevented right-wing judges from doing this later? No bill he passed would have made a difference because "Unconsitutional" rulings override all legislation.

Plus, even RBG is just one judge and they won that case 6-3.

Democrats protected Affirmative action for 58 years. An extreme right-wing Supreme Court finally took it away against strong Democratic objections and Democrats carried the legal case to protect it.....but what, specifically, would you have wanted the Democrats to do more than they did?

Their plan has been open and obvious. The three oldest judges right now are all Republican-appointed. Vote for Democratic presidents/senators until at least 2 of those 3 judges are gone. Then a 5-4 liberal majority could reverse this.

[EDIT - notice that Rakim Allah constantly attacks Democrats and carries water for Republicans even when the Republicans are the ones doing the evil, but when asked what the Democrats should have done differently, he posts a laughing emoji but can't answer the question.

Obvious agents stay obvious.]
I didn’t single Obama out, I said dems incompetence led to the Supreme Court to be republican stacked( a fact some on here seem to ignore)

But fukk what happened I didn’t see none of you dudes who cheerlead for dems explain who or how they gon reverse this action

It’s they fault republicans were able to stack the courts, not only was they incompetent they don’t even have a plan to rectify the situation
For every dude who got a problem with what I said quoting me calling me out my name and doing other dumb shyt, fukk how we got in this situation

What these people who supposed to be serving us, the citizens ,going to do about the death of affirmative action

There is literally a gene studied in 2017 that indicates better Mathematical ability and reasoning though. Ironically, it's common among the Chinese people specifically.

Again, it's not the full story because there's so much more that goes into accomplishments, accolades, etc. Practice can additionally catch up this difference (read Barbara Oakley's books). It's basically about practicing it until it's muscle memory. Millions of people graduate with STEM degrees and aren't all that special. However, some people will find Math is easier to them compared to others. It doesn't mean other people are dumb, it doesn't mean variance doesn't exist but it does mean one group is better at it.
So the gene may effect math ability in children and the Chinese seem to carry it more. But in general Asians, especially the Chinese, tend to study longer hours, have bigger tutoring networks (for now) and are more culturally obsessed with academics, especially STEM. Not to mention every Asian kid seems to play an instrument and it is widely thought to improve math ability and academic performance in general; Study shows strong links between music and math, reading achievement Those are far more likely culprits than genes. I could understand bringing up genes if Asians were winging it and getting the same results, but that clearly isn't the case :mjpls:

Y’all are missing the point.

Being locked out of prestigious schools means that even the brightest and most capable of Black academics are not having access to the resources and networks of their non-black peers.

A degree from MIT is opening more doors than one from Howard. It is what it is.

We as a people cannot be so flippant about being denied these resources as the game is the game. We cannot seriously compete in the system of capitalism under white supremacy if we don’t have the same tools, bottom line.

All facts especially if you applying to these big tech companies
